Post details of your last run and what you think of it
Nice one baldie!
Me- 30 minutes of intervals today... like cid, am feeling very lardy
8 miles GA run followed by 10 x 100m strides tonight.
7.15 mile recovery run this evening.
10k yesterday evening - mostly quiet streets and a buffeting from a strong westerly down the beach. Felt as relaxed running as I have all month
10k yesterday fast pace, felt good. Went for a swim this morning, and all I did was just walk to the car
5 mile recovery run on the treadmill today.
3.4 miles, mostly roads; battered by strong W wind on prom
16 mile run with 5 at marathon pace. Had meant to do 8 at pace but Christmas dinners and too much gear weighed me down. Thats 56.66 miles for the week.
Oxford Circus-Regents Park-Primrose Hill-Parliament Hill-Kenwood House and back for 16k at 5.18m/km
Nice outing, however it was my turn to go down with a case of the MLR runs, Strangely-Brown Style. Started feeling off around Highgate Ponds, then had to sprint at roughly sub-four-minute-mile pace for the loos at the bottom of Parliament Hill. a very close run thing...
swittle - relaxed running is the way forward.......that westerly sounds tough to battle against
Sun - didn't fancy the full hit this morning so settled for a sedate 6km in the park and woodland - nice and muddy - thinking of the warm summer evenings when the same trails will be dry and dusty - looking forward to finding some new routes to run with the dog that are off the beaten track
keep it going everyone
Last night I tried my usual interval session however I just didn't have it in me to complete the session. Managed 3 intervals of 3:20 mins at 5:09 m/m but then reverted to a recovery run and made up the time to 32 minutes.
Today I did a 9 mile run at steady pace felt a little better.
Agreed, cidlad Took on an equally powerful SW wind for 10.5 miles of XC, trails, roads & beach, my longest run for 3 months.
The Streak reached 700 days today.
Surrey- very impressive weekly mileage mate, in awe!
Baldie- thanks for sharing
Swittle- IN AWE!!!
Me- a really crap 5.5 miles this morning...
Christ on a bike Swittle, I don't know how you manage that. There are just some days where trying to fit a run in is damn near impossible.
6 miles steady today, starting to taper ahead of HM next Sunday now.
Thanks, Nessie & SB: it's so much a component of my life and helps me keep physically and psychologically well. btw this is edition 2: my first streak was ended by injury at 1315 days....
15 miles today. Awful weather, felt rubbish and drenched!
Still nice way to end the year This time in 2011 I broke my foot!
Closed 2012 out with 5 miles on the damp streets of Crosby & Blundellsands.
Who's running tomorrow?
Surrey - that's impressive stuff
Tue 9.00am - brought in 2013 with a gentle 9km - head not in too bad a state - feel as though it's time to get back to normal routine after an overindulgent festive period
wishing all MLR'ers a year of successful and ENJOYABLE running - may you all achieve what you strive for
