Yup, well done guys - ace PBs.

Sat - 6 miles with a hill

Sun - 15 miles - first 13 at mara pace, bumped into my father in law for the last 2 so had a nice jaunt home with him to cool down

Tweaked the calf Saturday - 2.2 miles was 2.2 too much! Tended the ailing leg y'day and 1.1 last night & this a.m. seem to have done no harm.

Mon 9.00am - 8km off road in some serious mud - I wanted an easy run whereas Fudge wanted to up the ante - we compromised

thanks for the kind comments - I have focussed on that pb for the last few weeks and it was a relief to get it out of the way - time for a new goal

Did the 21 mile Meon Valley plod, my legs are absolutely hammered!! Great experience though and by far the toughest thing I've ever done!!

Congrats Rob. Some superb PB's coming in. Bloody hell Surrey R, 1hr24 is very impressive. I'd have been struggling to keep up on a bike!

Another pretty good weather day here. Clear but not too cold. Seem to have missed all the bad stuff. A quicker run on roads and pathways. 7.5miles in 54mins. Slower first mile then very steady splits, overall average 7.15min/miles. Stamina at maintaining a pace is much better having shed a stone and a half (although I feel kind of skinny and less, well, robust). Times keep pushing down though which is fun.

JT/B-ri - stone and half is a lot off - that just from running?

7 miles this morning with 4 x 1 mile at 7min/miles with 2min recoveries. Felt easier that I thought it would with Sundays long run at race pace. Haven't missed a single session of the training plan so far and just realised I'm now over half way! 11 miles before work tomorrow, early start indeed.

Tue 10.30pm - cheeky 6km boggy woodland trail (headtorch needed) with Fudge

had to be squeezed in late as we were out celebrating my daughter's birthday. Ran within 30 minutes of a very substantial chinese meal

11 miles easy this morning. Although last 2 miles didn't feel so easy. 10 mins late for work too, this is getting tough!

Well that wasn't easy. Strong gusty wind and snow. Fine when it's at your back. Bloody awful running into it. Went off-road in my vivobarefoot trails again. The electricity pylons were humming in the snow. Followed the river bank. Very muddy in places. Hit a few surprise puddle that left my shoes full of water and mud. Very cold feet. Had some earmuffs and a buff over my face as the snow was like shrapnel in places. Anyway 13miles in 1hr52. The lights here keep flickering on and off. Better press reply quick before we get a power cut.

SLUSH! I hate slush. It's worse than ice, snow or just good old fashioned rain. It splish splashes iced cold water into your trainers with evry bloody step. It's slippery and it makes you run slower than you want to. I've had it with winter now, bring on the daffs please.

Anyway, I reluctantly completed 11 miles in the deep slush of the North West this morning. On the plus side, legs felt strong and good and I felt like I could have done another 11 with little trouble.

On and on.
