Perfect conditions in Yeovil today, 4.5 miles averaging 9.32 per mile.

Last 4 short runs I've knocked my average mile pace down by 15 seconds each time.

Well played matty. Keep that up for another 38 runs and you won't need to bother going out at all

7 miles this morning including 7x100 strides. Pretty tough little session actually.

Morning all,

Good job matty - ace weeling when the times start flying down.

An easy 4 miles this morning - switching my rest day to tomorrow due to having a few drinkies tonight. Felt great this morning. Had my first taste of Pilates last night, went along to support the wife but ended up signing on for the whole course. Let's sort that core out!

Me- 8 miles this morning. Didn't feel good, runner's belly, so cut it a bit short as I was aiming for 10 ish. Also pretty slow. On the plus side, I'm now at healthy BMI having lost 9 lb on Weight Watchers in 6 weeks. Going to lose another half stone or thereabouts which should benefit my running times. I don't want to be skinny really, I like looking like a woman . But I think size 10 rather than size 12 makes me a bit faster. Today's run was a glitch I guess :-/

Great weather today, but a bit windy. Not much time so so a quick 4.20 miles in my vivobarefoots roads this time. 30:30 so about 7.15min/mile. Thought it might be quicker. A few gates to negotiate though, and not looking where I was going I did run into the side of a white van (which makes a change from the other way around).

Hope the weather is picking up for everyone else.

Fri 9.30pm - 8.5k (40 min) - clear sky and cool fresh air - low mist settled over the fields - enjoyed a couple of rest days (sorry swittle) so feeling pretty refreshed

Sat 11.00am - 45 min approx - one of the muddiest runs I have ever done - shin deep muddy gloop for most of the run - (shares in persil should be on the rise) - Fudge was bemused and refused some of the deeper stuff

good fun without the concerns of pace and time

South of England XC championships at Parliament Hill. A 15k mudbath, not helped by losing a spike and not being able to change the rest to a suitable length. fell over a few times, but NEVER walked up any of the hills.

A shocking time of 1.25.40 seems to have been the worst in the club. good job there were still some cupcakes left for the last man home!

Baldie- that really does NOT sound like a shocking time to me, under any conditions.. well done!

Me- did the Action Duchenne 10k run in Finsbury Park this morning with my brother. He put in a fabulous PB, me a Personal Worst :-/

Felt like a proper runner today when I got home and had to wash the blood out of my shoes.

Last minute decision to go out - no idea of where or how far, just wanted a leisurely run in the new sunshine. Ended up covering 16.5miles in 2hrs13 - quicker than I'd expected at 8.04min/mile. I was taking it fairly easy so pleased and surprised with the pace. Socks rode down on my heels, which rubbed and cut against the back of my shoe. Hence the bleeding. Didn't stop me though. Grrrr.

Congratulations to all those who fought their way through rivers of mud.

Sun 8.00am - 19.3km (1.29)

mainly country lanes - caught most of the sunrise and warmed up nicely as the run progressed - put in a few efforts and 1 or 2 hills to work against - quite a tough run all in all - but enjoyable

Nessie73 - keep battling through it and it will come good

Some big miles being put in here

18 miles today and my longest and slowest run yet. I've had some issues trying to get my LSR slow enough. Got close to cracking it today with an average mile pace of 9m/m and a heart rate about 73% of max. Very hilly which does not help keeping it down but feel like i'm getting there.

Bright, crisp and lovely winter's morn.

Good weekend's work all,

15 miles yesterday for me. 7m easy followed by 8m at mara pace. Missed a few splits as getting used to refuelling with my new belt. Felt strong at the end though.
