Post details of your last run and what you think of it
??? seems we've been hijacked by a troll???
I *could* go into a rather boring and lengthy explanation of how, getting my car hemmed in to a car park and stuck for an hour, and needing to do the school run, put the kaibosh on my doing an extra few miles. It's not that I *can't* do it, just that er.. life got in the way.
seemed like a rather unnecessary outburst on what is usually a very nice thread
Epic race strategy, DunkyD! Thanks for your good wishes: another 30 minutes this a.m., similar route but warmer by 5 deg C than y'day. Getting there - and I hope everyone on MLR is too
Sat 9.00am - 8.5km (garmin free) - woodland trail
dappled sunshine through the trees and a thin layer of frost in places - lovely running conditions for a morning yomp - having to run without the hound for a while (damage incurred by another dog last week has meant stitches and recuperation) - missing our runs together
good running weekend everyone
3 miles today. Had to go into work for a few hours so took the chance to have a run home
don't worry about it, Nessie. regular MLR-ers admire the way you fit your running in around Ofsted inspections, kids, romantic anniversary getaways, weightwatchers etc
5 mile recovery run this afternoon.
Hope the hound recovers well, cidlad.
7am on a cold, grey Merseyside morning and my running pal & I visited Crosby Coastal Park and Rimrose Valley for 5 miles, 80%+ off road
Whisper iot softly but the calf's holding together so far...
swittle - thanks - and I'm glad to hear things are stable with the calf
Sun 7.00am - 90 mins hilly mixed pace run on the roads (19.3km)
frosty and cold - roads a tad slippy in places - awaiting some off road shoes that are on order - so looking forward to some runs involving less tarmac in the near future
push on everyone
Cid - That's terrible re your four legged running mate. Hope he's back by your yomping side with haste.
Longest run yet for me, 20 mile LSR. Dry, cool, still. Perfect
I too snorted a big laugh at redjeep's post
22 mile run this morning. Major gut problems due to fish and chips last night. Ended up doing one mile shuttles between toilets.
thought I might go down with a case of the Surrey Runners or the Strangely Browns after a double portion of spicy Piri-Piri chicken at lunch, but in the end got round an evening recovery run in Hyde Park for 11k at 5.15m/km.
feel sorry for Fudge but not for the stupid pooch who tripped up one of runners during the Club handicap yesterday. she got some nasty cuts (the runner, not the dog!)
4M Fartlek. Okay run. Dry with no wind.
baldbloke - piri-piri chicken is well worth the risk of a mid-run toilet crisis IMHO
8m GA today, felt decent despite my 20 miler yesterday. Cold morning but dry yet again. It feels so long since I last saw rain, this must be one of the most elongated dry spells that Manchester has had in years, getting on towards 3 weeks now i'd say.
10.5m LSR on Saturday, new distance PB for me. Legs feeing it still but off for a short run this evening to try and loosen them back up.
Good work all, and well wishes to Fudge
PB woop woop! Followed my slightly strange strategy and felt strong throughout. Knocked 5 mins of the PB and clocked in at 1:32:30 - dead chuffed. My father-in-laws PB is now 5 mins away - he's getting twitchy!
@dunky Which HM was it? Tasty time that
