Four mile recovery on treadmill this morning.  Doing another six recovery tonight plus strides.

Good work SR, sounds seriously tough.

Hope all's okay JT mate.

11.5 miles Easy this morning - didn't feel easy for the last couple of miles though - legs still a bit heavy from Sunday. That was the longest pre-work run of the training plan so no more getting up at 5:45! Well deserved rest day tomorrow.

Dig in troops,

Six miles recovery plus 10 by 100m strides tonight.

JT141 - hope things are not looking too bad

Surrey - impressive training

Thur 8.00pm - 14.1km (62 min) - back on the tarmac for steady run in the wind and rain - felt a bit stronger this evening - hopefully that's the cold weather done with for the winter

keep it going everyone

Boys weekend away in Rome. Managed to get up early and do a 9km run, 7am in the morning on Sunday. Best bit was to see the sun rise over the Coliseum with no one else around. Worth running through the hangover, and getting a little lost adding a few extra unplanned Km to the run.

Some serious training going on

Surrey - what P+D plan are you doing and for what mara?  Some immense sessions you're doing.

I had one hell of a hard, hard run this morning. 11 miles with 7 at LT.  Heartrate was elevated from the moment I set off and I had to work at a heart rate much higher than I wanted to achieve splits much slower than I wanted and still felt like I was going to keel over at any moment.  Strong, cold winds and a shared bottle of wine last night probably didn't help but it was a session to forget.

On and on,

11.5 miles today for me with a couple of friends.  Very rainy but that kept us at a good temperature.  Great run and felt strong at the end

5 mile recovery tonight.

I am doing the 55 to 70 mile plan.  Did 70 miles last week.  I am in training for London.

8 mile hilly tempo run this morning at 6.23 pace.

09/03/2013 at 09:13

what's your target, Surrey. comfortably sub-3, I would think??

SR - That's intense training. I'm on the one down from that, up to 55 miles pw. Did 58 this week though as I tagged on a bit here and there. 21 mile LSR today, time for a soak!

Sat 9.00am - 8.5km woodland trail

well done to all those in marathon training mode - it ain't easy - keep it going

good running weekend to all

Evening, folks!  Feeling decidedly grim out there: cold wind & driving rain - wind chill tomorrow

0730 A decent 5-miler largely off road, taking in a mile of the beach and some trails over Rimrose Valley.  Calf's behaving itself atm.

Run well, smile too!

Thanks people for your comments. I'm fine. A couple of snarling unwelcome days, but things are getting resolved.
And in running news 14.25miles on road and path in just under 1hr53. Cold and wet out. My right heal is still tender. Main concern was my left hamstring. It was getting very tight and I had to slow a few times to settle it down. Could have been the cold (went for shorts instead of usual winter tights), or my heal knocking my running out slightly which effected it. It was a day of wrong turns so took a few unexplored streets. Managed to find my bearings again though.

20 mile long run this morning making it it 70 for the week.

BB, am aiming to go sub 3 hours at London.  Did 3.11 at MK last year in the storm - my first marathon.  I have upped the training a lot this year to get under three hours.

Sun 7.00am - 90 mins steady running (19.3km)

difficult running into a bitter wind with sleet for a large part of the run - tough but fun

felt better after a sauna/steam/jacuzzi warm down

push on everyone

cold and wet in London, and have got flu again, which I'm praying won't mess up the Reading HM for me next weekend.

Struggled round a Thames loop for 18k at 5.30m/km. Off to North York Moors tomorrow for some rest and gentle walking ahead of Reading but looks like it will be seriously grim up there!

Will watch your progress with interest, Surrey. looks to me like both you and Dunky are set for big PBs

Character-building conditions all round!  First run over an hour for six weeks - biting east wind on the trails & beach, then over Rimrose Valley and home.  A tad pooped now!  7 miles, give or take.

Happy mum's day to any fellow MLR mums.  I had an excellent day of brekkie in bed, flowers, cake, huge Chinese meal, and ran off a few of the calories with a short 3 miles back home in the  snow.  Then a great soak in the bath with my youngest, who's 4.  Excellent day

Some good running going on here.

I pulled myself out of bed at the crack of 9am and managed 13.1miles. Pretty hard to start with as it was wet, windy and bitterly cold, but picked up a bit whilst I was out. The ankles still tweaking a bit for the first mile but settles down after that. Glad there was no repeat of the nose bleed I had when i was running last week.

Came home and made Sunday lunch for the family (shouldn't the kids be doing that?).
