Sat 3.00pm - 10km (45 min)

went exploring some trails off the beaten track - found a couple of bridle paths which gave a bit of variety to my normal route - new trail shoes slowly bedding in

enjoying my running - hoping everyone on the the thread is going well and running strong

15 miles along the canal. It was a good morning, but there was a strong headwind on the way out which was bitterly cold. Don't know if it was this or poor nutrition as I'd not eaten anything, but I felt terrible for the first 5 miles or so with no energy. I almost bailed a few times but kept going.

Pleased enough in the end, think I may go for my first marathon in 5 weeks.

Redjeep - go for it

Sun 7.00am (or was it 6.00am??) - 21km (1.37) - pavement pounding mixed pace

Glorious sunrise and icy cold - warmed up quickly enough - legs tired towards the end but a decent run - some lovely views in bright clear air - as fresh as it gets

good easter running everyone

Thanks Cidlad. That's good running. These cold mornings are great once you're out and warmed up, but the temptation to roll over and go back to sleep can be hard to resist some days.

I reckon if I can do an 18 miler next weekend then I'll be up for the marathon.

12.19 miles this morning including 5 by 1200m intervals.  Taper time at last!

easy 15k in South Downs this morning...beautiful crisp sunshine...

after a manic weekend at work i came home and decided to go straight out and run, stress relief etc,

ran 10k a full minute under my PB time, its been a year since i ran one, time to sign up again and get an official time. I didnt even give it everything, i hit stop on my garmin at 10.05k and still jogged the half mile home at a fast ish pace, on race day, with a crowd and a packof runners, i think i could take at least another 2 mins off my time.

Another night-time foray up the beach, watching out for Antony Gormley's Iron Men - as Neil Young sang, 'Rust Never Sleeps' but the cast iron inside was probably taking a snooze

5 miles, and almost all in my own company.

Martin - fantastic time there, a PB?

20 mile LSR today.  Had a beaming smile on my face for most of the run, just felt good today and the miles were chewed up with ease.  Could have been warmer but it was bright and dry.

On and on!

comfortable run today, just ran for an hour rather than a distance, covere 7.5 miles.

Some great running, and nice on Strangely for your PB.

I've had a great weekend in Norfolk with the family, in a surprisingly warm caravan.  Lots of eating, some swimming / biking, very little running.. I managed 3-4 miles along the beach in the snow. Which was certainly a new experience, and not altogether unpleasant

Sounds like an excellent taper, Nessie!

Did running technique class at the track tonight. Got to work on my arms, shoulders, hips, pelvis, core, knee lift, heel action, balance and power....which sounds like everything!

Good running all - Nessies just reminded me on when I got lost on a run in Norfolk and was missing for 3 hours until i found  apub kind enough to let me borrow their phone to ring for back up!

Sat - 6 milee including a nice hill climb

Sun - 15 miles at race pace - felt good at the end so condfidence is more or less restored now!

Keep it up all,

D

Bless you Nessie, thanks.  Sounds like a cracking and different kind of run you had too.

11m GA run this morning.  Buggered my mara schedule up a little and have had to run 11 miles today on top of the 20 yesterday.  It hurt.

On the plus side, I spotted buds opening on the trees this morning.  Spring has sprung, will someone please inform the weather Gods?

SB - what marathon are you running?

Manchester at the end of the month Dunky.  My first one...

Yesterday evening- did a pleasant and easy 4 miles with a mate. She's a fair bit slower than me so I added on an extra mile after I dropped her back home at tempo pace, which gave me 5 miles and a bit of a workout at the end.

and yeah- SB-- what *is* that warm yellow thing in the sky???

02/04/2013 at 21:01

Nessie,

It may be yellow but it ain't warm!

8.29 miles tonight including 8 by 100m strides.
