10 miles along the canal towpath on Friday evening after work  -  my first properly long run for a month or so, owing to holidays and too much snow at home  -  roughly averaged 10 1/2 minute miles but I'm a plump 53 year old who only took up running 4 years ago so I'm still quite pleased with it!    Sunshine, a swan sitting on an egg, primroses and daffodils everywhere  -  ace!  Stopped off at the chip shop on the way home as a reward

SR - Just pooped in to say well done mate. The change in temp over what we've all been training in this winter has got to take it's toll. But 3:05, that's fantastic running - hats off to you!

Me - still resting a slightly stroppy achillies

Tried a little 2 miler this morning and had a good old stretch. felt the achillies a little but think it's just about recovered. Won't do more than a few miles over teh next week and see how I go. Lush morning for taking in a bit of fresh air.

Morning

Some cracking running going on

4M Steady for me today.

morning all, 4 miles this morning at no particular pace - except the one I always seem to do. 35mins and always seems to be 35 mins!

Hello!  Out for the daily run at 7am.  Coastal park, beach and Rimrose Valley Country Park.  Bright, clear & dry but my limbs were not at all keen on the idea of 5.2 miles

Track session. 7x500m@3k with 100m recoveries then 4x200m@800m pace with 200m recoveries.

Confused the hell out of me, but i think i did it right!

The club coach has put me in pace group 5 out of 6. So quite slow, but with lots of young women...

4M Plod in drizzle .

baldbloke - admit it, you've wangled that group for a reason

6 mile recovery for me today.  Mild and feels great running in shorts minus hat and gloves again.

5  miles along the canal again  -  ducklings this time!  Not helped by the signpost though that said we'd done 3 miles before the one that said we'd done 2.......  (Note to self  -  must get a Garmin)

Ran my pal, Jose's beach & trail combo today - and felt a ton better than yesterday!  Refreshing breezes lifting the sea's white horses, firm sand and plenty of support from the grass in the latter stages: 5.5 miles.

5.4 miles through the forest club run tonight.

Like Baldie, I was with a bunch of women  Although we're not so young... I think I was the youngest at 39 and three quarters  and we're deffo an un-glam lot

Monring

Hill session for me in smiry rain. A hard session but getting there.

Morning all! did my usual weekly 9.5k yesterday evening and broke the 50mins barrier for the first time since I started this particular route about three months back! 49 mins 11 so well chuffed. Looking good for beating my best 10k of 56mins at St Albans 10k in a few weeks.

Also saw some other runners out for pretty much the first time since I started in October - I guess runners in Hatfield prefer to run in the evenings rather than 6am! Oh and first time out in shorts too.

5 miles with 6x100 strides.  Sunny, warm, still, dry, windy, raining and cold this morning.  In other words, April.

26/04/2013 at 10:11

Out at 7am for 45 minutes: a mixture of quiet streets, Crosby Beach and some good quality trails.  V high tide last night had left wave-like images in the sand to catch out the unwary.  Was nearly brought down by a rudely protruding paving stone but all ended well.

Don't make this run your last run!

10.6 miles easy this morning, half with a friend, the other half with the Human League.  Mainly very pleasant on and off road.  Strangely- you are this thread's weather vane  And like you, I experienced the spectrum of weather from warm sun through to fairly violent painful hail stones.  Don't you just love the British weather

I have a busy weekend ahead of major drinking Sat, then taking the boy to the BBL (British Basketball League) finals at Wembley Sun, no doubt in a terrible state... so am contemplating a Parkrun session and making it intervals tomorrow morning, if the legs feel OK

Nessie - The Human League is a running club? Or just who you hang with?

Me - last night - 2 miles to pilates class and 2 miles back. Enjoyed running with a rucksack. Pretended I was in the army. Archillies felt fine so might try my first parkrun tomorrow...

Dunky  downloaded their greatest hit album last night.  I'd forgotten how great they were.  Nice pretending to be in army

Four mile recovery run.  Still getting a bit of gip from my right calf.
