Just 2 miles on the treadmill tonight.  Too painfull to run slow and too hot in gym to run fast.

Out at 6am today for 5.2 modestly paced miles round the Marina & up the beach - of course!  Breezy, refreshing, with the dull rumble of the tide competing with raucous gulls on the wing.

Ask me why I run early.....

Swittle - that sounds much nicer than my run tonight.

11miles at about 8:45 mins pace on a typical Irish summer's evening. So it was cold and windy with horizontal driving rain and hail for about 5 miles until it cleared up. Wasn't much better after though.

7 miles with running club last night, about 8 min mile pace with efforts thrown in too. calfs hurting but was very good

Thanks, Redjeep!  I think I caught up on the rain & wind factors this morning: another 6am start saw me drenched by squalls and buffeted by rate NE winds but I still managed a mile or so of beach in my 5.2 total before tackling the storm head on

6 miles cross country with the club for me.

3M Easy/Steady mostly off road. First outing since Sat.

Much calmer & drier today at 6am, so down the beach and through Rimrose Valley Country Park.  5.2 miles.

Sluggish today and a blooded toe to boot!

10km at 5:30/km....only my 3rd run in a lot of years since starting a couple of weeks back so I'm happy.....PB's every time I go out at the moment but will plateau soon.

4.3 miles through the forest with my lovely friend.  Great conditions.  damp and muddy

great hill session with running club tonight, only about 6 miles but very hard

17/05/2013 at 06:38

4M Steadily done. Sunny start to the day too.

3m yesterday along the canal towpath in my dinner break  -  bluebells and sunshine.  Last run before tomorrow's half marathon.

Great run for me this morning.  11.2 miles cross country across hilly, difficult terrain with a friend.  Took a long time (2h 12) with lots of interesting diversions, like a lost dog, bluebells, scrambling up hills and getting stuck in mud.  But challenging and great fun

first run for a week due to illness/workload. nipped out after work for a Regent's Park, Primrose Loop, roughly 10k at 5.30m/km

@nessie on another forum, someone was looking for a friendly club in the Epping Forest area, so I've sent him to the Orion Harriers...make sure you are as nice as I have promised!

Another 5-miler at 6am, this time to Crosby, Blundellsands, Waterloo RFC, and over to the beach before heading home.  Calm, cool, dry - ideal!

18/05/2013 at 11:02

@baldie, I will be nice, promise  BTW Orion are doing the first of three Forest Five on Saturday 1st June at 10 am.  First Saturday of June, July and August, same time, cross country 5 miles.  You should come along, it's a beautiful / muddy route.

Me- parkrun this morning. legs were tired after yesterday's run, so I treated it as a recovery and a chance to give out flyers for the upcoming club run

Last but one run was 5 miles down the side of a harbour on Crete in the beatuiful morning sun.

Last one was 6 miles easy in the cold a wet of Bury.  Harumph.

After a really harsh run on Tuesday evening (strong winds and a months worth of rainfall in one day, for the Swansea Bay 5K), it was very welcome to go running in much nicer conditions today.

58:28 10km on the seafront prom, warm & sunny with a light breeze. Quality.

Not bad once the rain was out of the way. Been cautious with my knee after it got a bit tweeky last Sunday. Been doing gym work but ran today with a bit of compression on it and it was fine. 7miles in 54mins. Sped up at the end when I was happy my knee was holding up.
