Nice one, Redjeep...decent time and that lack of chafing is certainly a bonus!
Didn't get any running in while in Barcelona last week and incredibly busy at work until Saturday, but managed to nip out from the office this evening for an amble round Regent's Park and Primose Hill for 11k at 5.30m/km.
Barcelona is lovely, but London on a warm bank holiday evening is pretty great too!
One of my favourite runs this morning.....6:30am round some beautiful parkland near my parents place. Only about 3.5 miles but just so nice in the quiet seeing the mist coming up from the lakes.

Sat - Parkrun PB of 20:17. Not able to do another for a few weeks but then that 20 minute barrier is mine!
Sun - 7miles with Brother and Father-in-Law. Taking in two river routes and getting charged by sheep. What Sunday running is all about.
Mon: Hard pyrimid workout: 200m,400m,800m,400m,200m x 2 @ 6:18 with 30sec recoveries. Knackering!

First recovery run tonight. Was meant to be 10miles at 10min pace, but I bailed out after 8 miles. Feeling a bit better than I was before the run. Must be something in these recovery runs !

Just a little 5k GA run today. I've done the whole of 16 miles since my marathon a week and a half ago and that was my last run before going away for a week tomorrow. I am, of course, taking my running shoes though

4.5M Steadily earlier. Mind you I was up at 1:10 am with Geordie (our black Labrador) who was 'needing' !
5 miles hilly cross country club run
thanks guys, it was hot, too hot, dehydrated and sore muscles as a result, but happy i finished, and in a time better than i'd have guessed this time last year, missed my goal time because i got hit by the temps, but that goal was set in the past 2 months based off my 2 long (22 mile) training runs, in much cooler temps.
Hilly 7 miles with club. Got loads of suggestions and tips from an experienced marathoner and really enjoyed it

5.2 miles in my dinner hour, this time past banks of bluebells and the wild garlic coming out in flower one more long run to go before the half marathon..... hope it cools down a bit.
3.5M Easy off road on fields Okay run.

Really rubbish this morning, got about 2 miles in and just had no energy! walked a good part of it back home. Does not bode well for race on sunday
Had to have a couple nights off this week after an annoying foot sprain was picked up on the weekend.
Did 5k on the local seafront promenade last night and went well (pretty windy, but has been worse). Had planned to be doing 10k originally, but that changed due to my sprained foot.
More than anything I was just glad my foot had completely sorted itself out after the rest and ice. I am running in the Swansea Bay 5k on Tuesday which is my first ever event so was worried over the last few days that I wouldn't shake the sprain off in time, but surprising what a few days rest did.
