Hey Baldy, it was ok here too.  Mild and sunny when I went out, bit breezy though.  11 miles slow run with, I dunno, maybe 11 flies swallowed.

SB- swallowing the flies isn't as bad as when they fly right into your eyeball, suicide eyeball bombers

A gentle 2.75miles in 24mins. More tiring than I expected. Heel okay to begin and then went off a bit.

I ran the Women's Running 10K event in Bristol at Blaise Castle!  Tough trail course done in 70mins.  Really want to go back to train as it's a a lot more hardcore than my regular running routes.  Going out the night before and having four hours sleep probably didn't help!  Oops!

Legged up by an innocent looking paving slab, 2-point landing, failed to stop my watch while falling, and seen by members of public too!

Minor grazing & bruises, but set off to the beach to relieve the shock and complete my run.

bad luck, Swittle...at least your streak won't be threatened!

me: wimbledon common then 1.5 loops of richmond park in gruelling heat. Came out as 22k at 5.45m/km. first time i've done two hard sessions back-to-back so we'll see how my body recovers...

This is what running glasses were invented for!

Swittle - Hope you sprang back up and bowed exaggeratedly?

4 mile recovery run today, lots of last ditch dog avoidence involved.  Dogs are great, their owners, often, less so.

12km run last night, 1:17:55 - Average pace 06:28mins per km. Long story short, simply too fast for me for what I'd planned (Aimed for closer to 8 mins per km).

21.1k beside the local canal and rivers, bit warm out there, I have earnt a decent suntan I hope. 2:29:58

Sun 10.30am - 10km race

blustery conditions meant little hope of a pb - gave it my all and stopped the clock at 39.45 (some 22 seconds from my best) - thought I was in sub 39 min form but will have another go in the autumn

faded a little in the last km but didn't leave anything in the tank - mostly happy with my effort but as always a little disgruntled with the result - never satisfied

enjoyed pushing myself to the limit and glad that I can gauge my current fitness for future reference - may do a few parkruns over the summer

dig in everyone

Nice one Cidlad

Me- 3.8 miles easy this evening

01/07/2013 at 00:08

Thanks to baldbloke & SB, wounds to pride & body will soon heal!

Excellent time, cidlad - that PB is beckoning

After 9pm before I sallied forth - felt fine during 45 minutes of parkland, sandy trails and beach.  Air was moist & fresh, the breeze quite robust - and the Streak goes on

Fantatic effort Cid and any sub 40 10k is a time you should be very proud to achieve.

8 miles for me, 1.5 gentle ones with the hound and then the rest was GA pace with 5x600 metre intervals with only small breathers.  Hard, sweaty but a great way to start another working week.

Good work over the weekend all and great time Cidlad.

Sun - 13.1 miles Easy - sweated buckets and got a singlet suntan - oh dear!

Mon - 7 miles, 6 Tempo with a bit of a cool down at the end.

Chin chin,

D

On the downside, the Sunday 7 miles were hideously hot but on the upside, the strong winds at least meant that we were wind assisted on the outward stretch!

Took my gf out for her first run yesterday...did 5 min walking warm up then 10 x 1min running - 2 min walking. So proud! Carried on and did an extra 5kish after by myself in the lovely evening sun round the park near my folks house.

Well done Mrs CP!

Various congratulations particularly Ella and Cid.
Got a great big insect in my eye. 5.93miles in 50mins. A bit further as ankle felt okay at first. Unlike the rest of me which had forgotten how to run and ran out of energy at 3miles. Picked up, and then my foot got uppity. Still, quite enjoyed it.

Feeling your pain Swittle after my pavement dive last week. I ran the rest of the way with blood running down my legs. Grrrr.

Swittle- nice fall mate.

JT- the insects are always suicide bombing into my eyes, see my post a few days ago.  Altho I took the advice of a wise bloke and wore my running glasses tonight

me- hills. OK

8.30pm and avoiding pavements like the proverbial  Trails up to Burbo Bank & the coastguard station and a clear run on firm sand, watching out for the poor, stranded jellyfish, back to the Baths and trails & park back home.  5.7 miles, 50 min.
