Post details of your last run and what you think of it
5.5 steady miles on paths & beach brought up 900 days of Streaking early this morning.
Strangely - that's my kind of running
Dunky - the hard work will come through very soon
MLR in this country for 3 weeks - 12km through the park trails with the hound - warm and humid - mixed pace but comfortable throughout - travelling all tomorrow but may get a late night run in along the beach - followed by an estrella or two
see you all soon and keep up the hard work
4M Steady. Sunny and Warm again
10km last night on the seafront prom @ 06:30 min p/km.
Off for a few days now so no long slow run for me this weekend as I'm on a stag weekend, so just missing that out and then carrying on again as normal on Tuesday.
Have a good weekend everyone, extra good luck to anyone taking part in any events, once again it's going to be a hot one so take care!
DD - I get that after a lot of hard sessions too. As they say, listen to your body (mine is currently saying "It's Friday mate, soon there will be beer!")
Swittle - Bloody amazing...your discipline is extraordinary
Cid - ...and that's my kind of drinking (to continue the theme) Have a great trip!
Just 5 miles today at easy pace. By far the hottest morning yet. Nearly totally still, cloudless blue skies and above 20 degrees already. Sweltering stuff.
SB - cheers for the encouraging words.
Swittle - 100 to go!
JT - 'Moorish' Boom boom.
Cid - Have a top trip mate!
10 miles this morning with 8 of them 1/2 mile on, 1/2 mile off. Hottest morning of the year I reckon so was pretty tough!
Thanks for your support, SB and DunkyD - the downside is the number of days to give up if I get crocked
happy holibobs, cidlad!
Oh, almost forgot - 0630, 5.5 mile trail-beach combo. V warm, no breeze, tide just turned.
Hey guys, here is a route for a weekend trail running gateway:
Let me know if you want more details
Easy session this morning
Dull, but warm.
12 x 200m @ 6:15
bit of a welcome breeze.
7am Running buddy reported in injured with a strained porker, so we strolled around the park and I headed off for the trails past the Baths to the Coastguard Station, before returning by the gentle swell to the sandhills, cycle path & park. Cloudy, overcast & rather cooler.
Ran half marathon distance yesterday in preperation for the Bristol Half Marathon. I feel bad for not doing Parkrun this morning but everything aches now! That heat is immense!
Just completed the cheshire half at alley hall, great race about 500 runners, done it in 1hr 41 mins and 20 secs. Very happy with that
good performance, John mc efc - two pbs in short order!
cooler but muggy this morning in London town. got up early, jogged to Regents Park (8k) and then ran the London summer league 10k. In retrospect, the warm up may have been a touch too long as I imploded at the 7k mark while on course for a PB. ho hum!
off to Davos, Switzerland next week for the Swiss Alpine running festival...really excited!
Nice one Toffee John!
Baldy, I share your pain. Blackpool 10k for me today. Well on track for a PB at halfway and then the warm-ish conditions seemed to sap my spirit and energy again. Tailed off rapidly to finish around the 39 minute mark and yet again, falling shy of a PB. That event sounds pretty cool - have fun over there
I's not racing to my potential at the minute and I think I need to wait for cooler weather to do it.
thanks bald bloke, enjoy Switzerland , cheers strangely brown, I would love to be able to do a 10 k in 39 mins.
Happy hols Cid and baldy. Some great running despite the heat
Very little running for me as my stepdaughter got married on Friday up in the Midlands, so have been run ragged looking after my little grand-daughter, helping with arrangements, and going bankrupt :-/
I've desparately missed running so even tho I'd had 6 hours sleep in two days and a 6 hour drive (don't ask), I went out late last night for a little 3-4 miler. It's an odd thing running on a Saturday night with all the pisheads around but better than nowt.
