New Event Advice

As a runner I have been asked for advice on how to set up a local event. I don't know I said - I only run them, not organise em! Although I probably know somebody that does.

Some people I know want to organise a half marathon event locally and would like to make this an annual race. Has anyone out there got any advice on how this is done? (contact details etc.)

I've never organised an event but I think that if you call the
British Athletic Federation

They should be able to help. Or, I believe I read in 1 of Big Tim's threads that he was organising an event, so maybe click on his contact details & ask him for advice. I'm sure he would be only too happy to give you advice.
