While there will no doubt be many great performances in London this Sunday, I cannot imagine any will be quite as "jaw dropping" as the new World Vet 80 record set by the great Ed Whitlock in Rotterdam last Sunday...3 hours 25 minutes 40 !
Just think of any 80 year olds you know, and then imagine them running a full marathon at around 7'50 mile pace. If it hadn't actually happened, I would have said it would be impossible.
Makes my times as a 52 year old look very sad indeed !
