Hastings half is nice; you get a commemorative horse brass instead of a medal.

what you really need is the Hastings Marathon medal - the race has only ever been run twice a 100 years apart in 1908 and 2008.   so those of us who did it in 2008 have a pretty rare momento...

Ooh, nice! Not sure I'll still be running in 100 years' time, though. What was the route? Just two laps of the half, or more of the surrounding countryside?

I really like the horse brass

The Longleat 10km lionshead medal is my favourite from a purely aesthetic point of view.

Loon - go ferk yourself.....

literatin - no it was a very different route to the 1/2.  roughly - Hastings centre/Alexander Park/The Ridge via Wiliam Parker School/Conquest Hospital/Battle/Catsfield/Ninfield/Sidley/Bexhill centre/Cooden/Bexhill seafront/Bulverhythe (via the shore path)/St Leonards/Hastings - finish at the start area.   not the same as the 1908 one but similarities - and relatively hilly.   and bloody cold on race day at 5C.

The Edinburgh Marathon one from this year is a cracker till you turn it over and note the phallic shape!
