Good running Catherine is wine a good cure for the blisters. Lovely day for running I'm out first thing in the morning so hoping for something the same.
Another good run Gregory.
Sean I started using lycra shorts and don't have a problem any more.
Just over nine miles this morning. Lovely morning for running Spring is in the air when you hear the lambs in the fields. I have had a bad cold at the minute and struggled the first few miles but was fit to pick it up at the end.
22 miles today with last 14 at marathon pace & I have to say it went surprisingly well!! I think thats my longest run out of the way now, one more week then taper time!!
With regards to refunds about Larne half marathon, there will be an announcement made about this very shortly, so I don't want to put anything on here just yet.
Sean, Lanacane Anti-Chafing gel is good for any chafing and you can get it from Boots. Apparently Body Glide is rated too but I think Lanacane is better. I tried both during my brief experiment with shorts before I went back to capris.
I'm a Vaseline man too... mmm that sounds wrong
Some good long runs going on recently! I ran a 21 miler with Alwyn this morning - cold 7.30am start but warmed up nicely in the sunshine. One more LSR next Sunday to give me 6 LSRs of 20mls or more.... then it's taper madness..
Really enjoyed the Decathlon half yesterday. Great running conditions on a well-marshalled flat course helped me take almost 6mins of my pb Fantastic to be running again after a year out with various injuries ...
Had a wee chuckle watching Max (Mags other half) stooping to give a black labrador a much-needed drink (running for Sperrins AC I think!), at one of the water stations! Now there's dedication for you ....
I noticed your time, Alan. Great to see you back on form. It may not be the most interesting of courses but it is really is pancake flat. I got a 3 or 4 min pb there last year. That was very decent of Max too.
After a long and frustrating 15 weeks off with a stress fracture, I got back out on the roads last week. My ankle isn't fully pain free, so am having to keep it easy, but hope to get to the Castleward 10k this coming Saturday. I feel I have to at least make an appearance as that's me on their flyer for the race. It seems I was one of the few last year crossing the line with a smile! Hope to see some of you there.
Great to hear of all the marathon training. Hope you get better weather this year.
