Nothing works - General running

Can someone please tell me how to get them back, I lost them all when my laptop crashed and was redone. There are no smiley buttons and the link and image ones don't work.

If you do know and am kind enough to help me please bear in mind that I'm a complete technophobe and know nothing about computers or any techy words.

look in your forum settings, is it "Basic editor" or "Advanced wysiwyg editor" ?

Do you know the name of the program you are using to view websites? If you are using Chrome, you won't have smilies etc.

Are you sure SL?

Did you click on "update" after selecting "Advanced WYSIWYG Editor"?

I did click on update Mr P, and yes I have got chrome little ninja - that must be the problem then, is there any way i can change it?

Not really with Chrome. Somewhere in the Website bugs section (or linked through my profile) is a thread I did a couple of months ago on how to make the smilies in Chrome but you'd need to be keen to find it and you still can't do links.

Do you know the name of the program you used to use? I use Firefox so links, smilies are fine etc.

Thanks little ninja but I haven't got a clue what it used to be, I just press the buttons and hope! I can live without smilies and always cut and paste the links.

Sunluvva I have this problem too. The link and image buttons are there but I can't click on them.
