Have you done any training on the track, or if not have got any opportunity to do so? The physical demands aren't that much different, the track surface is a bit more cushioned than road, but the main thing you could benefit from is getting used to pacing. The shorter the distance, the more it's a case of setting an uncomfortable but manageable pace and holding on, so it's worth getting a feel for hard running on the track, practising running even 200m/400m splits, etc.
