Ah......  Can't afford one of them...

Sort of place where you can prance about and pretend that the women have noticed you (but haven't noticed your gut)

Only by those to whom I make a comment about their personal appearance as I jog past. Usually its fine near where I live, but doesnt go down so well in South London.

You jog ?   I thought you were a runner............

Looks like it's time for me to hit the mean streets, Hope I don't get injured or worse

Go for option 1 incase a runner gets on the treadmill next to you.

But you never know who the 10% is. This morning I was chicked on a treadmill (and very happy to be too).

chicked?

28/02/2013 at 18:50

Chicked - a term commonly used by male and female runners. It is thought to have been introduced by Dusty Olson (Scott Durek's support runner / buddy). Here is the definition:

When a woman outperforms a man in a physical activity, such as biking, hiking, or skiing, where normally a man should outperform the woman. "Wow, she sure finished the trail way before me" , "Dude, you got chicked!" Read "Eat and Run" to find out more on Dusty   Can't believe you haven't heard of 'chicked' with 25,000+ posts to your name Cinders. It features in a lot of race reports from male and female posters

Can't you make a decision on your own Dave......I wonder how many forums you ask questions of each night.....

for the exercise you ask the running forum...then for your evening meal you ask a cookery forum...........

and then pop over to the sex forums to ask what position, speed and duartion  for your bedtime activities

I don't think that's a particuarly amusing term frankly. Perhaps men should stop expecting to beat women and just take it with a bit of grace when a woman beats them. A man who'd been beaten by another man would hardly say he'd been "dicked" would he?

28/02/2013 at 21:05

No, he says he's been roostered. Get with it screamapillar

I don't particularly like the phrase "chicked", so never use it.

But for the purpose of this post, I got "chicked" at my last 2 races, by Steph Twell and Emily Wicks.

You can't be upset about losing to their quality!

I can imagine if I was a bit slower and was getting beaten by Sharon from the Cafe or John's grandma i'd be a bit more cheesed off though
