At the risk of causing embarrassment I propose a Person of the year Award to someone who has < i think never won a race and never will. I propose Cath.

Reading her messages and you sometimes get the impression that she sees her problems as being there so she can support others. When I compare her situation with some of the whingers I meet in everyday life it brings me close to tears.

I hope that she recovers from her illness, as do all the others who have detailed their problems on the site, and hope that somewhere there is a suitable award for her.

I know she will be embarrassed but so be it.

Best of luck and get well soon to you all.

here here!
Cath is an inspiration to us all. ... however hard lfe is and however tough it is for her she just tries to make the most of it and as mention makes you realise that we moan about the most stupid and trivial of things

Another vote for Cath, definitely.

Cath gets my vote too.

As a thought - if someone fancies counting the votes, how about a URWFRC awards thing. Not sure what the categories would be, but something comical - e.g. most posts, award for the most nonsensical thread (the great tip one on the go now takes some beating), funniest post, etc.

GeoffB - if you read the "Staying Healthy" thread in its entirety, you will agree with the initial suggestion.
