Low fat chicken tikka masala tonight. No more pizza for me. I've realised that I need to get rid of another stone by London....

MM so i'm back on the bench the bloomin thing is still warmno ale here
i will eat to that

08/10/2012 at 20:56

MM- A fun winter? Yep, just not guzzling and troughing all the dark months But, hopefully, the spring and summer will more than make up for any lost "fun"

MM61- I don't know enough to make any recommendations really....but my understanding is ice to start with- ie immediately after an injury. Heat used later to try and repair/ recover by encouraging blood flow- but like I say, I aint qualified to offer any real advice....

JD i should be i have enough practiceit started saturday and today was worse but i was 5 miles from the house,my prob is all my runs are too fast but thats the way i run i find it hard to run slow

Evening all

JD - rest up and eat lots of cake to help your body repair.  Thats what I do any way.  The diet can wait a few days surely?!

MM61 - sorry to hear you are injured.  Take it easy.

I am not dreading Snowdon so much after the long run and cross country on the weekend.  Going to try and enjoy it this year.

NR story of my life

Get some sports massage.  There are a few really good ones in Neath, not too far from you.

08/10/2012 at 21:22
Mm61 this happens every time the marathon training starts, hard as it sounds maybe you gotta down grade to shorter races, remember there is more to running than just the marathon, and you are pretty damn good at other distansces too,....cast your mind back to Dale 1.25 ish Swansea 37 ish ....think hard buddy remember its better to race short than not at all.
08/10/2012 at 21:26

NR- lots of pizza for carbs yesterday. Chicken and rice and protein shakes today- for carbs and protein to help rebuild/repair muscle. Running starts slow and short after that on wednesday. Diet only really kicks in when running mileage picks up again. Not really planning on dieting anyway- more a case of running lots of miles and cutting out the crap Exactly the same as i did this summer. Same here with Snod- going to relax and enjoy it with no time pressure- did that last year and ran my best Snowdon ever

MM61- You might find it hard to run slow- but even harder watching everyone else run....

08/10/2012 at 21:28
JD have you got smileys on the I pad?
08/10/2012 at 21:29

MM- Nope- back on the PC tonight. The ipad has got smileys, but they convert to ??s on here....
