Looking forward to the race reports

Combination of 25m on Monday and zero exercise yesterday left my legs feeling very stiff! Decided to scrap the planned 13m run in favour of 2 shorter recovery runs. Loosened up nicely by the end of a VERY WET AND WINDY jog

Afternoon

JD here is my race report,worst ever G5 race just managed to scrape under 35 mins average pace 6.55,dont know where my speed has gone 4 mins slower than 4 yrs ago.. Conditions were very wet.

Evening all

A wet and cold Glynneath 5 today.  Did 31 mins which is a pb  for the course for me.  Got 2nd lady, first vet .  Didn't  hang around as was very cold after the race.

MM - good to chat.  Nice to meet Mrs MM too. 

JD - There is nothing quite  like running.

It was wet and the rain was really cold. I did warm up but legs were ice cold for first bit. Ran 5:44 for first mile (it really needed to be 5:30). Ran behind Charles W for the next mile hoping to avoid the headwind but he slowed so I clocked 6:13. Struck out on my own and did 6:05, 6:03, 5:53.

Must do better next time, but today was not the day. An easy 5m to unwind tonight.

Year before last I ran 3 x 5:30 miles at the start of the MT10. Not that the rest of the race went well but it is asperational.

and that was 2 x 5:30 downhill.

Unplanned and hilly! Best part is my original run was only going to be 5, but I extended it to 6.5!
Bought a 5kg medicine ball in the sales. Now I have got sore abs!

MM61- Welcome back to reality- well, close enough!

Found some exercises for medicine ball on YouTube. Scary just how weak my core strength is....plenty of work to do there

4m this evening to round off the day. The best ever turkey, carrot, onion, celery and sprout soup coming up with home baked bread
