FL - sorry to hear you are injured. Its a pain, I can't run more than 4 miles at the mo and then have to take the day after off!! Don't know what happened there!! Temporary blip though.

Another lovely day down here in Carmarthen Back in work,really like my 2 day weekends but mondays are harder now Legs sore from the weekend so no running today and an easy day tomorrow. VLM is looming fast
Well done to those who ran the half yesterday. JD - well done - that's a good time, but I know what you mean when you know in yourself you want to get a quicker time. How did it feel to lead the pack for a bit??
NR - hopefully onwards and upwards for you, and those 4 mile runs will soon be a thing of the past
FL - nice to see you back on here.... It seems like ages! I'm missing the PTH Famous Five thread too - that really motivated me. How are the other lads doing? Hope you can get to the root of your injury and get back training soon. I've only ever come back stronger and faster after a layoff (remember my Castle's run in 2011 - that was 3 months after an injury)...there is hope.
Short and steady sessions for me this week - saving energy for 3 consecutive weekends of racing. Full of cold and have lost a little more weight...mislaid my engagement ring on friday as it slipped off my fingers without me even noticing.. so I really dont want to lose any more. Seeing specialist in Singleton tomorrow

Leg is still sore. Would like to give the cross country a go on the weekend but will have to wait and see.
Runningfeet - Blackminster half is a nice event - I've done it quite a few times. Flat, although a few undulations - the ones I remember are a bit of a drag at about 5 miles and then a particularly nasty incline right at the end of the 6 mile loopy-loop which always catches me out, and you get to do it twice. Also it's over distance - you go straight past the last marker and think you've finished but there's still 100m or so to go. The thing that always amazes me is how fast the leaders are going - the speed us mere mortals run means we're bound to be lapped usually midway through the first 6 mile loopy...you here them it coming up behind you and then they zoom past at some speed. www.d2ride.co.uk ZolaP - Good going at Kidderminster.
