Griff - well done on the 10 miler. Think this is our last fine day for a while..

JD - good running as always. you dont need to lose any more weight!

Hospital appointment went ok today. Consultant was a bit strange....on medication for the next 6 months.

Just entered the Kent road Runner marathon on 1st June. It's 17 laps of a course which is a big cycle circuit - should be mind numbingly boring, but I'm up for the challenge. Will have to sort out logistics for the day and try & get my parents to support...

Feel v tired but hope to do a short run after work - weather looks so tempting

By the way - what's this obsession with beetroot juice?  I'd be terrified of spilling it down my clothes...reckon it's a b*gger to wash out!

GN you clocking a lot of quality miles

Awesome running Griff, you should have a great marathon !!

10.35 miles for me last nite, and a longish one tomorrow with some speedwork thrown in Bit milder here today but more snow forecast for next week,....spring is round the corner

Hello, Good running all. MM, Griff - you are really training well - think you have all worked hard for your marathons.

JD - thanks for the beetroot link

NR - hope you are feeling ok? It is milder this week. The rain hasnt really done much yet - dont want to jinx things though, let's hope Margam wont be a mud bath....

Just been for a gentle lunchtime 4 miler with a couple of colleagues. Had a good natter about PTH...I'm missing the club & wondering why I left, so considering joining 2 if poss. one as 1st claim, etc...

JD - the most laps I have run on a track is 12.5 for 5k, so the 17 lap marathon will be a challenge. I wanted something to test me physically and mentally.

06/03/2013 at 17:18

MM thanks buddie, just thought i'd clock some miles

06/03/2013 at 19:54

LTS- There's always the Barry 40 I'm doing it next year- MM has generously offered to lap count, and I'm going to hold him to it!

Griff- nice LR- well done

MM61- speedy 8 too

My plan was to run 15m with the last 5 faster tonight, but body and mind overruled plan in favour of 12m without getting faster. Can still feel Sunday's half and supposed to do a tempo session Friday so easy does it 12.05m in 1.28.12 (7.19 av)
