Nearly there GN. Enjoy every step.
JD - sounds interesting with the food.
MM61 - what shoes do you wear when working? Could they be causing some of the problem?
Lovely day today. Ran across the beach, tried a hill but knackered today!!
Hello all, hope you all had a good Easter weekend and training went well?
Whilst half my family up north were snowed in, we were so lucky with the weather down here. On saturday it was even warm enough to have a picnic (admittedly out of the wind!), and we did a long walk in Pembrey.
NR - nothing beats the freedom of running
MM61 - hope knee improves soon.
MM, JD - I'm sorry I never made it to gorslas on Saturday. All best intentions were ruined by a last minute decision to host a real ale party and I had a wee headache on Saturday morning! Intend to run it this weekend instead.
Had a good weekend - lots of running. Got club 4 mile race this evening along the Millenium Coastal path - looks breezy out.
Griff - how is the taper going? What date is your marathon?
LTS- LOL! See you saturday
No intervals due to post-massage hamstrings and poxy wind! 2x 5m instead.
Gammon, mushrooms, grilled tomato, fried egg and laverbread
JD - how you can eat that breakfast is beyond me!!
LTS - sounds like you had a good weekend!!
GN - nearly there now.
Salmon, new potatoes, carrots and leeks
Griff - all the best for blackpool. I'm sure you will do fine - you had trained hard and have a sensible approach to training and tapering. Enjoy the experience!
JD - how do you find Laverbread? Never tried it myself but we used to cook it at the hotel I worked at. It was a bugger to clean the dishes afterwards! Hope your hamstring eases and massage helped.
MM61 - how is the knee today?
NR - thanks
Got 1st lady and a 4 mile pb in a club champs race last night. Ran well until halfway, when we turned and ran directly into a very strong headwind by Machyny's golf course Feeling a lot fitter & happier since the thyroid probs in January, when I struggled to run even a mile
Morning LTS well done on your club run, glad your feeling fit again and have sorted the problem. An interesting breakfast JD An early morning 5.45 am, 11.1 miles for me,feeling really good again, but it has took me a few days to recover from Sundays race.
Griiff enjoy Blackpool
LTS- Nightmare to wash up- got to leave the pan and plates until last! But tastes gorgeous and is ridiculously healthy and packed full of minerals Well done on the club champs Hope you have left something for Saturday?
MM- well done on the run It is SUPPOSED to take a few days to recover from a race- otherwise you ain't trying!
My "interesting" breakfast worked well- 7m including 5x800mtr intervals (splits-2.45, 2.44, 2.43, 2.45, 2.44) done and dusted Pleased with that- especially as it is blowing a freezing gale again!
More laverbread lined up for lunch! this time with cockles and stir fry veg
