6.5m recovery run in the sun for me in 51.00 - very neat in terms of distance and time Lol! Steak, mushrooms and leeks
Lovely day for running
How is your injury GN?
Getting back into the swing of things now. Feels good to get back. Anyone doing Swansea 5k?
Home made turkey curry with extra mushrooms and garlic, brown rice
NR- I will be there most probably- Carmarthen Mayor's 5k this Monday first though. You doing that? Nice food- except for the rice!
JD - not sure about Monday. Haven't raced in ages so may give it a go.

Anyone doing Swansea 5k?
Yes I am doing them both (May & June) and it will be my first ever event so feeling a bit nervous as I feel like I will be the one looking like I just shouldn't be there!
I hope to get a respectable finishing time (for me, I mean), though being able to run 5k at all was my original goal not that long ago and now I feel comfortable doing that, and have improved a lot over the last few months. For example I had a measured first 5k time of 28:07 last night during my 46:31 minute 8k run - by measured I mean I used those 500m markers sunk into the prom from Blackpill to the County Hall and back.
I assume quite a few people on here have done these Swansea Bay 5K's before, so am I likely to expect the field to be made up of mainly very decent runners, or is there a fairly spread out level of competitor?
Simon- full range of abilities! you'll enjoy it well done on the progress!
Cheers Jason. Thats what I was hoping for really. I didn't really fancy turning up and everyone else are all going for sub 18 minutes or something!
NR calf still sore although its easing up a lot,but i hav'nt run for 6 days,i hate it when i cant run, i give it until sunday and see how it feels thanks
simon we all start somewhere ,as jason said all races are open to all abilitys, dont worry go and enjoy you will soon feel like a expert,us runners are a great bunch honestly, from really good runners like jason to average ones like me,who are striving to be good just go and enjoy
NR no swansea 5k for me it clashes with the brecon 4 miles
GN rest up and get the calf better
fish and chips with some chip butties
SH - the Swansea 5k is a great social event. Lots of different abilities. The entry fee means you get food and a drink at the end too.
CG - it is frustrating when you can't run. Have you had sports therapy or anything to help?
MM61 - hope your injury is staying away too. Catch up at a race soon.
