Heading up for a week in Langdale from 16th Nov and looking to do some good trail runs whilst there. Any good routes or anyone want to meet up for one?
It's difficult to go wrong in the Lakes really - just buy an OS map and follow the green lines! If you're in Langdale then the Cumbria way will be right on your doorstep; should be easy enough to figure out routes based around that, or just run up to the head of the valley and back. My own personal tip would be to have a go at the Langdale Horseshoe fell race route, it's a classic and is widely regarded as one of the best routes of any fell race, but as the name implies that's not really very traily in nature! With a few tweaks though (e.g. not bothering to go to Esk Hause shelter), most of it can be done on paths, and it's just as good as a walk. The weather could be a bit dodgy for it in November though!
