Maybe i'm just being silly BUT
went out running last night and i seem to have a major problem with my 3/4 length running tight things...
they are the right size (i think!) but they keep slipping down and i spend half my tim puling them up again...
Apart from wearing a belt is there anyone out there with a random tip that might help...
Quite worried they'll fall down altogether... this is the kinda thing that would happen to me, i seem to end up in embarrassing situations quite regularly!

Cheers

My long length leggings have a tie cord at the top - which is just as well cause they're always heading south. Maybe stitch one in?

I have the same problem with a couple of mine and the only way I can stop them falling round my ankles is by wearing a pair of shorts on top - obviously not the answer you were looking for!

Yes mine have a cord at the top that I sometimes forget to tie..........

Braces.

Hi LM,
Running tights must be skin tight!
You need to buy the next size down to get a really good fit, friend of mine told me this,as he works in a running shop.

Fold the hem over and put a pin through them or pin them to your top!

Just wear shorts instead of tights then.

Belt and braces, can't be too careful.

Agree with Dman - Used to have problems with my running tights heading south until I bought the next size down - now they stay put like a dream.

I still wear the larger ones - too expensive just to throw away - but I have to tie the cord at the top quite tightly. I also find that they stay put once I've worked up a bit of a sweat (hmmm nice), so I only have to keep hitching them up for the first mile or two.

Coolio guys thanks... will buy them too small in future... between now and then might put some shorts with a tie cord OVER them... or see if i can sew in a cord either...

thread some elastic through the waist band?
18/01/2007 at 09:43
I had exactly the same with my new tights, I've put a cord in the waist band but not been brave enough to go out in them yet. Last time I wore them I only got 100 yards down the road and had to turn back to change into my shorts.

Does anyone know what those toggle-y things for holding cords tight are called?

Toggle thingys. ;-)

or cord locks if you want to be retentive (I always am) :o)
