7 miles for me today, made up of 1.8 mile warm-up, 3.1 mile serious effort, 2 mile cool down.
I decided today to run a 5k hard in order to see what kind of shape I'm in, and am slightly deflated by the result..... I was hoping to be close to 20 mins but could only manage 21:19

I keep telling myself that I hadn't done any kind of taper ahead of this, and that it was a solo run around the local streets rather than a race with other people to chase, but I can't decide if this is just a poor run after a tough couple of weeks training, or whether this is truly indicative of where my fitness is currently....
