Just logged last week's runs - even with a sneaky 3miler I only got to 90'ish% of my target - however, it was always going to be a stretch in a month that included 3 weeks of school holidays - my running routine goes out of the window when the kids are home. Back to normal for May, so back to the mill to try again.
Glad to see others still target setting and getting the miles in.
Is this 'The End' or are we having another bash for May?

Witty repartee....I like that.
I'm definitely up for keeping it going, I feel quite bereft tonight not being able to log my run.
How's Bruce these days? *whistles nonchalantly*
sorry , am still here ... Manchester didn't quite finish me off (close though).
I've just rolled it over in to May for those that want to continue.
I believe there are moves afoot for June to be a bigger challenege, so watch this space
Oo look I'm 4th!
(ignoring the fact I'm also last hehe!)
Thanks Bruce, I'm loving this challenge - April was a record month despite a bit of illness, so I've set my disdtance as my target for May - bring it on!!!!
Back to regular training for me in May. April was a bit of a non-event due to holidays etc. However, Sunday's 15 mile race most definitely reinforced the need to train more regularly! Although it was multi-terrain, I added 32 mins onto my half marathon time from a fortnight before - not good!
So, a wee loop from home last night in recovery, and that's the month of May up and rolling. Happy running folks. Look forward to seeing what's happening in June. Thanks Bruce.
Yeah thanks for still organising this Bruce
April wasn't a great month for me in the end but now back in the swing of things !!
Come on you no saucers
Great to see this still going but should I be getting nervous for June?
Whats the plan for June?!
WiB, kittenkat has gone off to plot something BIG. Big but not scary....or here's hoping! She posted on Fetch and told us to stand by our running shoes.
The year so far...
January: pretty good, down a bit due to the odd frozen/sleety day but OKFebruary: started well, scuppered by a work trip and resultant illness (chest infection)March: pretty much lost to chest infection and then stoopid heel injuryApril: began to get back into it, then my poor greyhound became seriously ill and needed 24hr care (she sadly passed away yesterday )May: has to be better, right?
Aw, Frodo, that's been a tough year. It sounds a bit like my 2011, one thing after another. It's only the 5th of May - still plenty of time for things to turn around for you. Welcome back to the challenge.
Tikka- where did kk post on Fetch?
Right, back to cranking some miles out this month- nothing spectacular, but better than last 2 months I hope! 14m in 1.40 today- legs starting to feel better again post VLM
its on then JD! I can run just about pain free now so will see if I can hang with you this month, although am on a strict race schedule so no silly mileage runs unfortunately ;) Every session has a purpose and all that stuff!...
Good to hear you are recovering though.
Jason, she started a thread called "Fetchies, do you fancy a challenge?". I'll attempt to post the link but with this new forum layout I doubt it will work....
Huzzah, I take it all back, this new forum is fabulous!
(ps: it really isn't )
