6.2m recovery plod tonight
WIB- lol! No silly miles for me either- no doubles and easy except for 2 quality sessions- everything is focused on improving speed endurance and LT, with some fun 5ks/10ks along the way

JD - Bank holiday yesterday and it was a rest day for me... I had to work hard not to put my shoes on and sneak some miles in! haha Back out tonight for 80 mins moderate effort, will try and squeeze as much as I can out of that time without killing myself!
Wib- go, man, go!
Managed to squeeze 11.80 miles out of 80 mins without killing myself for tomorrows session... that will do for now!

Still lurgied!!!! And tonight was supposed to be 1200 intervals. Though, looking at the weather here.....
Just 2.03 miles for me at lunchtime. Had a gait analysis in the gym and didn't have time for anything more than 20 minutes running. Back to 30 minutes tomorrow lunchtime.
JD - Weather excuses?!... and I thought you had mad the step to ultra runner 2 mile warm up then 6 miles at HM pace for me yesterday. That is as close as I get to speed work at the moment. Not been on the track in a while. I did enjoy the long track intervals though. 800/1200/1600.

I've got a sore foot. I think I twisted it last night when I had to leap off a steep kerb into the road to avoid being flattened by a manic cyclist who came round the corner ON THE FOOTPATH at break-neck speed. I tried a run tonight but abandoned it at 3 miles as it was just too sore. I'm a stubborn old bint and don't normally allow myself to give in, so part of me feels pissed off for quitting, but I spent too many months last year running on niggles until they eventually became injuries that had me on the bench for weeks on end, so I'm desperately trying to be sensible this time.
Jason, don't take the bait ^ ^ ^ - rise above it. You're doing the right thing by staying indoors.
Tikka- hope the foot gets better soon....
8 slow miles this morning- felt sluggish after layoff, but at least I can breathe again!

Decided to do a hilly 10k today as part of my recuperation. Wish I'd decided before yesterday's 14m, but did enough to get 1st vet, a bottle of wine and a tenner 9.17 in total for the no-saucers
