The real deal

So we have had some online challenges between the two website before, now here is the chance to compete for real.

Next year’s Sydling Hill race and Giants Head Marathon will be a RW vs. Fetch championship challenge.

The format is simple. Enter either of the races on our website www.whitestarrunning.co.uk or on RW Events on Friday, entries open on Friday 5th October join us on Facebook search for Giants Head Marathon on pages. The website is still in a Beta stage but will be ready on Friday
Sign up for a team on Fetch or RW (choose carefully no changing sides once you have signed up). You then have until the 29th of June ‘13 to prepare yourself to beat the opposition.

On race day it doesn’t matter which side has the most entrants, it’s about overall speed, the fastest cumulative speed of both races combined, wins. The winning team will receive winner’s certificates from White Star and the losing side, wooden spoon certificates.
Plus the overall fastest male and female runner in each race, using the WAVA system, will win a special prize from one of our friends at the Dorset Brewing Company and Lush cosmetics.

White Star will be launching threads this month on both websites, with Kittenkat leading the team on RW and Ultra Sparkly Bridget championing the Fetch teams.

And both USB and KK will be racing on the day.

Remember this is for fun and a bit of banter too.

White Star is a new, not for profit company. Our aim is to organise great affordable running events in Dorset, Hampshire and South Wilts. For runners like you and me. I have been a member of Fetch and RW forum for years and love you all.

Cheers Goldbeetle

Apparently I may well be in aswell !!!

However given its a full marathon, I just need to ensure the website can cope with 'days' for estimated completion time !!
