Couple of days off for me with a sore calf/back of knee?! much better today so will put in a recovery run. Another month or so is fin by me, I have a little race in July but shouldn't harm my mileage too much
I'm up for doing it through the summer too. My mileage is getting back on track. I'm hoping to soon be doing what I did at the beginning of the year.
No point me doing it over the summer - school summer hols intefere with my running too much. However I've loved doing it this month - even with half term child care issues I'll hit my target on Thursday in my 10K race
Carry on for July? MWUHHHHAHAHA!!!! Think I've got a few miles planned for that month.... August is better though
Nice couple of runs for me today- 4m recovery plod this morning in sunshine (well daylight anyway- too early for proper sunshine!) and a rewarding 10m with 5m at tempo pace (+) in the murk and rain this eveningAlthough it hurt lots at times
10 miles for me today, and a marathon in July (offset with a holiday) and a marathon and 50K in August....
Recovery run this evening for me only... feel better than I did after Fri and Sat so back to normal training tomorrow.
9 miles today, gutted to see I've dropped out of the top 5...
Is there anyone not running a marathon or ultra in the next few months or am I in a crowd of one? I'm steeling myself for a place at the bottom of the league, and we haven't even started yet.

Ha! Very observant. I plan a 5 mile recovery..they don't always happen tho! Busy day tomorrow..... Enjoy the rest if you don't run, we can fight it out on Thursday

Yes my recovery runs dont much happen either. I either dont run or just run at easy pace but for fewer miles. I pride myself on being such a stickler for formal training too

I'm very much up for continuing into July and August as I'm training for a marathon in Sept.
So am I, so happy to continue.
Not sure what this week's mileage will be as I'm hoping / trying to make up for missing last week.
7.77 for me this morning. Not too bad as it included some hill repeats. Like Tikka, I'm not training for a marathon this autumn, so my mileage won't hit some of your dizzy heights this summer, and will drop from this month's mileage due to work and family commitments over the next few months.

Oh ... and I hit my mileage target for the month
Had to cut my planned 15 short today due to Mrs JD's work commitments and me needing to do the nursery run, so swapped schedule with Friday and just did the 12.01m this afternoon. Wasn't sorry though as it was tough going in the 22 degrees (according to my car) heat!!
Very muggy day for running, even at 5.30 this morning. Too much work to do a double session - although check me out skiving on here - so will try and get a few in tomorrow again. Definitely no double tomorrow as Thursday night is officially wine night when I'm on the marathon wagon next week. Those pesky fetchies are indoctrinated into logging their mileage, they're not better than us...
