10 'muggy' miles tonight

28/06/2012 at 21:15

5.05 am and 6m pm takes me up to no 2  at the mo

KateF, I agree - there are definitely people in the RW team clocking up the miles (I've seen posts from them elsewhere on the site to this effect) but they're not logging their runs on the spreadsheet.

Everywhere I go I hear people moaning about what an awful summer we're having but I can't remember the last run I had when I wasn't struggling with the heat and humidity.  It was hotter than a hot day in hell out there tonight, even at 8pm.

Hi all

Have just updated my log with my last 2 runs, they were only 2.50 and 3.04 miles but I have reached my taget of 90 for the month. I've only run 3 times in the last 10 days as I was tapering before last Sunday's North Downs 30k and recovering afterwards!

well done to YP and Gary F on reaching their monthly targets!

29/06/2012 at 10:32

6.2M race done last night, and 4M recovery run this morning. Beaten my monthly target and got under 1 hour last night which was my target so VERY pleased with that.

Tikka & SEF - I'm not competitive really, but having entered something like this, surely you should see it through to the end???!!

Hi all,

Running a 24 hour challenge at the weekend, I'm hoping I can still log whatever milage I do before midnight tomorrow, on Sunday?

If this continues into July I should also have a good start to the month!

It's not so much that some people on the team have given up, they're out there running the miles, they're just not entering them on the spreadsheet!  If they did, the gap between us and FE would be a lot smaller - who knows, we might even be in the lead.

You could start a thread reminding people to update the spreadsheet - we used to do that back in the day when it was RW UK v RW USA and caught quite a few that way who'd been doing the mileage but forgotten to log the details.

15 hilly, wet and windy miles today, followed by 0.5m warm down. All safely logged too

Well done everyone

I've decided to call it quits for June, and do my long run tomorrow to get July off to a good start.

So far this year, I've done a total of 1,064 miles, which means I'm very much on target for my aim of running 2012 miles in 2012. These mileage challenges have helped massively with this, and it's great that we're continuing this through July & August.

So, thanks to everyone for helping to keep me motivated ( even the pesky fetchies ) and special thanks to Bruce and KK for organising it!

Let's hope July is a bit closer competition.......

Well i did my long run 16.03 miles but put in as run on Friday not today.

Those long runs really adle my mind and getting up at 5:30am to avoid the traffic and Saturday London crowds doesnt help

Can it be corrected?

I know it doesnt really matter but I like things straight.

Thanks

Off to bed now.

sleep well young SEF for all is now good with your world !!

10.5 rather humid miles run first thing this morning, then another 5 just walked with the woofs but I can't count those

30/06/2012 at 14:27

7.28m for me today- haven't logged it yet though cos I might go out again later

30/06/2012 at 15:41

Thanks Bruce C

As for being young,I am reminded I no longer am everytime I see the grey hairs on my wrists while out running. Don't remember getting any memo about grey hairs on wrists. May have to file a complaint. Could you forward me His email as you seem all powerful?

Thanks again

Back out for another 5.04, so 12.32 for the day and 291.16 for the month. Target for next month= 350

30/06/2012 at 22:28

WIB, that's a lot of mileage in a day

jason, that's a great total for the month as well

YP, even tho I'm fairly certain my mileage will drop in the next couple of months, I agree. These challenges help me to keep getting out.

Well done everyone!

I just about completed my target for the month, but was way below average (even the RW one!). I was getting quite competitive, though, and would have liked to do better,

What was apparent to me was the amazing runners we do have, who really push themselves. Well done, guys
