I was sweeping the first half of the South Downs Way 100 course today
Well done WIB- Good effort in the home straight there!
Are we starting a new thread, or carrying on here? 20.5m for me today
Just a little kick for home on behalf of RW! haha
Well we were schooled by the Fetch team this month unfortunately, what is the plan for July? I have started with a mere 2 miles of recovery today! haha I do have a 100 mile race at the end of the month though just the matter of the taper to take care of.
WiB- You could always train through it
YP- well done
Can we log this month's miles yet?
JD - I would love to but I would rather be standing at the start line looking up at the first 600m climb nicely rested
I can see this month but can't log my last June run, only 6.1m but every little helps.
I'm in third with my meagre 3.1 miles!!! Hehehe I'll enjoy it for now as I'll be back in 92nd once everyone has joined...
Apologies for not changing it sooner (I was out trying to kill myself at Go Ape, and nearly succeeded!!!) , however months should be rolled over now to July and to update the last bits in June just go to the 'Previous Months' option in the menu and you should be able to update Junes.
Just logged my 15 from Bewl this morning. Had to include some of my warm up in that 15 miles, as the course was apparently short by 20metres(!) due to necessary diversion. Unfortunately, that could be my longest run of the month, but I'm happy with a reasonable start.
Thanks Bruce. It's going to be a low scoring week for me this week as I am going to have to take a day or two off with a marathon looming on Sunday.
Well done everyone for their June efforts, loads of mileage targets bested and overall good totals.
Best month of year for me, nearly 22m up on any other month and keeps me ahead of my previous best mileage year at this stage.
I see I'm already well down in July having got my LSR in Saturday and nothing Sunday. I don't expect July to be so many miles - sorry team - as some of this month will be tapering off towards the Lakeland 50. Before then I plan at leat one real tough 21m. But unfortunately despite the hills and suchlike its only 21m. Can we factor feet ascended descended during runs in future
DE - I havent started this month well either mate... 55 miles Sat which meant 2 miles recovery yesterday! haha Will also be tapering for Lakeland at some point but am going to squeeze 30 miles in this Saturday before I do! Maybe we can form a steady mid league duo as we taper?!
Worst month since I started running. I went on holiday, had loads of routes planned, managed a couple of them and then landed in hospital. I haven't run for over 2 weeks now and not sure when I can next. Seeing my UK doc later so hopefully he'll give me the all clear.
As I *know* I won't get much running in over the school summer hols, should I be removed from the database?? Will my 0 or low miles bring the averages down???
IKFY - Hope you feel better soon and get the all clear from the docs.
good luck for July - everyone!
Congratulations on your individual & collective miles, RW types from a FE runner. It's been good to meet over a productive & enjoyable challenge.
