Thanks for the badger updates Good to see some early Saturday miles being put in. Just waiting to watch MotoGP qualifying then putting some miles in myself... Its one of the rare times I adjust my run time for a few mins in front of the TV.

Logged Thursday's 8.2 and Friday's 6.5. But no running today, as me and Mrs J are dancing tonight, and anyway, yesterday's run was done "at pace", but without badgers, dogs, cats, UFO's ....

Badgers, Deer, Stags, Great Big birds of Prey and horses =10 points ( excluding Police Horses, so no running through riots)

Foxes , Rabbits, Hares =8 points (Foxes with actual white bit on tail like in the books =10 points)

Swans, Heron, Storks Pelicans, Parrots, exotic birds generally = 5 points

Pigeons, magpies, any of the Corvus famalia= 1 point each ( if in a flock count as =2 points)

No running through Zoo's, Wild Life parks etc just to get the pointage.

Off you go!

SEF, how many for slow worms? I saw a bunch (I think) running when it was last hot (feels like years ago?)

16.1 miles this morning through the North wales countryside, horses plentyful, big Buzzards more than plentyful , and as for rabbits well think Watership Down on steroids ... only saw one badger and one fox, although I'm not sure if 'roadkill' count !!

I'm claiming 4 deer, a fox, 5 horses, 3 rabbits, a flock of green parakeets, about 10 pigeons, at least as many squirrels, about 7 dogs, 4 fishermen, and a gazillion flies and midges.....

How many nature points is that?

Oh.... 8.2 miles as well

SEF- Thanks for the Marlowe tip-quite familiar with his work- I'm an English teacher for my sins! His Edward II came to a nastier end than Shakespeare's Richard III

Herd of cows any good?

11.44m for the day. Supposed to be 8, but got the missing 3 from yesterday with a bit of interest

Marathon done, over distance as I got lost, and probably about 7 miles extra sliding sideways in the mud, watch died though so I shall be a good citizen and claim 26.2.

Gaz - you must live in a very different part of the country to me then, as I had 15.5 miles in torrential rain!

It was still very enjoyable though, all off-road, and as I was wearing my trail shoes I just aimed for the puddles and ploughed straight through the muddy bits.

Dog also enjoyed it, but has slept since I wish I could join him.....

20.5m here with 10 at mp in 20 degrees heat, so headed for an inland shady route- downside was it meant first 10m were all uphill. Great confidence booster as it happened

Top work guys. Only 8.13 here,"long run" of week 1 of mara training. Hangover well and truly gone .
