Tikka , take care
4.1 for me, not a lot but part of my first ever duathlon. Very weird how the legs felt after the run, felt stiff and like not moving, but actually going ok - just used to the bike speed I guess. Bit of fun anyway, back to two-footed motion tomorrow. I'll settle for 100 less than you this month WiB (as most months) - especially as your ultra is twice as long as mine
7 odd miles this evening with a 3 mile tempo run in between.
Almost never happened due to Richard II on iplayer and a post tea snooze.
I do like my naps and a bit of Shakespeare.
Today I ran in green.
Ps thats not a Shakespeare quote I actually wore green shorts and a vest
SEF- Richard II was awesome wasn't it? That may not have been a quotation, but here's a quotation from the play that warns about not training enough for our forthcoming marathon and hitting the wall in the race...well, it could apply!: " I wasted time, and now doth time waste me" (V.ii)
Happy running guys! Nothing from me this morning- just the 1 run today
Only a mile behind, lets go RW!
20 miles for the cause today. Considerably less tomorrow!!
HORRIBLE run in vile weather tonight! Planned to do 13m, but road on my route was flooded and had to cut it short to 10m- and I wasn't sorry at all10.01m at 7.51 av
I'll make up for it tomorrow
Good to see RW runners taking all top 5 places at the mo- but the fact that we're behind just goes to show that it's the middle and lower table that will win/lose it for either team
Jason find and read this
Stabbed in a pub in Deptford he was
Four and a bit miles ran this evening
Tomorrow a longer trot.
An enjoyable 12 miles by headtorch over the South Downs tonight... I forgot how much fun it can be to run at night on the trails although I did jump when a basger ran out in front of me!
16 and a bit miles run as of 9 summit am this morning
No badgers seen
Parkrun plus wu/cd. 6.05. No badgers, lots of dogs.
Thanks for the badger updates Good to see some early Saturday miles being put in. Just waiting to watch MotoGP qualifying then putting some miles in myself... Its one of the rare times I adjust my run time for a few mins in front of the TV.
Logged Thursday's 8.2 and Friday's 6.5. But no running today, as me and Mrs J are dancing tonight, and anyway, yesterday's run was done "at pace", but without badgers, dogs, cats, UFO's ....
Badgers, Deer, Stags, Great Big birds of Prey and horses =10 points ( excluding Police Horses, so no running through riots)
Foxes , Rabbits, Hares =8 points (Foxes with actual white bit on tail like in the books =10 points)
Swans, Heron, Storks Pelicans, Parrots, exotic birds generally = 5 points
Pigeons, magpies, any of the Corvus famalia= 1 point each ( if in a flock count as =2 points)
No running through Zoo's, Wild Life parks etc just to get the pointage.
Off you go!
Curses, I Should have picked a different route!!
SEF, how many for slow worms? I saw a bunch (I think) running when it was last hot (feels like years ago?)
16.1 miles this morning through the North wales countryside, horses plentyful, big Buzzards more than plentyful , and as for rabbits well think Watership Down on steroids ... only saw one badger and one fox, although I'm not sure if 'roadkill' count !!
