I'll be heading out tonight with a map, a guide and a compass to make sure that I stay on the straight and narrow

11/07/2012 at 12:07

haha, don't forget the flares

11/07/2012 at 12:10

and emergency food?

I was so inspired by Emmy's approach that I did the same last night. I did an extra few miles running around a dark, dank, extremely muddy wood. The GPS trace is quite amusing, I get within spitting distance of an exit and then turn around and head as far as possible from any exit. Brilliant.

I also picked up a stowaway tick who was happy to take the free lift back to my place, delighted to share the shower with me, but then decided that my leg and blood wasn't quite good enough for it and crawled off, ungrateful git So I smashed him with a golf ball .... any points for ticks?

4.97. 200m repeats, was never going to add up to much even with wu&cd.

11/07/2012 at 18:51

14 added, total for yeterday's and today's mileage.

Chimpster, good job it crawled off of its own accord. They're a bit of a pain to get out sometimes!!

@Chimpster - that's great! I'm glad I can be so.... 'inspiring'! I can honestly say that I've never had a tick (touch wood!).

I managed 5 and abit miles whilst...um... exploring the local area. Really strange weather today but happy to be out there!

13.05 in the bag. Recovery week this week so miles and pace will be a bit slack

11/07/2012 at 21:47

x6 and a bit miles added.

x2miles of which were hill/incline repeats at tempo run pace.

8 recovery trail miles for me last night. Was cool to run on the South Downs with clear(ish) skies and look over and see lightning striking other places nearby.

I'll head out again tonight... am being very cheeky and leaving on time to get home for a run!

Twas a warm evening in Hull, hit the streets for a "lethargic" 3m just to ready the legs for some sunny tempo trail tonight .

me too.........    I'm planning a double today of 5-6 recovery miles at lunchtime, plus around 10miles along the river tonight as part of my journey home...

Great running everyone, and let's keep pushing to try and close the gap..

12/07/2012 at 10:23

I will push it to try and get out for a few days to boost up the mileage... come on everyone!

12/07/2012 at 14:12

Working from home today, so managed to get out for a little longer at lunchtime, so 10.25 playing in the hills for me today (should have been 9 but added an extra hill just for Team RW) .

Think the cutting off of the zero entries will see us nudge ahead-????

Morning run done in the mist- off to get very wet later....

Maybe... Remove them

10 hilly, potenially wet and muddy, miles of hills tonight. Tomorrow is an extra rest day for this week so my slow climb up the table over the last few days will take a little set back I think.

*smiles sweetly at BruceC*... is that possible, Bruce?

I'll head out in a bit and aim to get lost and see how long it takes me. If i'm not back by tomorrow - send the dogs out for me

12/07/2012 at 16:45

... or you could leave the zero entries till say the 30th July and then remove them, last minute surge mwhahaha

My tactics last night was to leave it so late that the park I cut through was closed so I had to take the long way home... and then it started to rain. hard.

Good running/getting lost/ hill climbing everyone

6.54 absolutely horrible miles done.

Maybe, when I last checked losing the two zero runners we'd still be just behind, but certainly a lot closer.
