Emmy- feeling good I've got a rest day planned for 8th October

31/07/2012 at 08:31

LOL! Are you looking forward to it? 8th October?!? How on earth do you manage that?!

31/07/2012 at 08:53
Morning all

I'm planning between 8-9 miles today which will take me to 215 miles for the month, and just over 1275 for the year

My aim is to do 2012 miles this year (a personal nod to it being the Olympics), and so far I'm just over a 100 miles ahead of target.

Here's to hoping the Fetchies don't manage to pull a proverbial "rabbit out of the hat" and we can level up the scores going into August....

Quads a bit bashed from Lakeland, but should log at least a minimal recovery run today.

11.5 miles today to take me to just over 300 for the month.

6 miles from Hamburg Airport to the City Centre to finish off the month. I didn't run for the first half of the month so it feels good to get some miles back on the board. Hopefully August will see me back to 3 figures.

Emmy- it's the day after Chester mara

DE- well done on Lakeland

WiB-??

Great finish to the month everyone

10.06m for me today- all easy pace. Busy day though- Fitted in the run after a morning cinema trip to see "Pirates!" and lunchtime soft play adventure centre with mini jd. Then went out for Indian meal with family straight after shower. Dietary disater? Oh no, I dodged that temptation and while they tucked in to their oily curries, buttery naan breads and poppadums and pickles, I munched on tandoori chicken with salad and some plain boiled rice and yoghurt washed down with diet coke

Well done Team RW on an excellent win. I hope you're all inspired to do a bit more.

Two things

1. You should all take a week off to celebrate and recuperate

2. As jason is so quick, he unfairly gets more miles in. So next month he only counts half...or we're taking our ball home.

31/07/2012 at 21:43

I've just snuck in another 6.

31/07/2012 at 22:56

The end of another month.Good challenge. It really encouraged me to run more miles than I would otherwise have done. To reach my target, I had to go for a short run after my long day at work!

31/07/2012 at 23:18

Yeah we won!

So do we get the right to all the Fetchie maidens that came of age this July and first pick of the late Summer apples?

What?! No you shut up!

No its not "primitive" and "a little sexist" anyways I like apples.

Dont matter anyway dont fancy any of 'em.

I like Emmy Bug cos she got go faster legs and they say she once bedeviled a pig up near the top field using nothing but a pair of Asics and a sweaty sock!

01/08/2012 at 07:32

Shades, it will now under the Previous tab and select July

01/08/2012 at 08:12

thank you Bruce

01/08/2012 at 08:48

Hi Bruce - do you know if we're continuing this? do we need to get our liason officer (KK) to go between both camps?

Well done everyone on some cracking runs and mileage! I did my highest mileage month and can safely say - this was the reason.... that and marathon training

@Stephen - you promised you wouldnt tell anyone about the pig incident

01/08/2012 at 09:37

Just dropping in from t'other side (I don't visit here very often these days) so say well done to team RW for winning the July challenge - I guess that makes it one all with everything to play for.

Obviously some great running from everybody - on both sides - near the top of the leaderboard but congratulations due also to anybody who has managed to stretch themselves just a little further than they otherwise might.

Now - to make it fair during August - if you lot could just re-recruit all the lower mileage people who disappeared from your team sheet at the end of June, then we'd all appreciate it over on Fetch.  The alternative is that we start looking at the top end of our training league and actively recruit some more of the proper high mileage types.  Ta

Or you could try running more

I'm in for August

22.05m today

02/08/2012 at 14:12

I'm ion for August, planning more miles than last month this month - if all goes to plan (and right now things seem to be going to )

02/08/2012 at 20:58

Bruce- In case the Fetchies forget to ask, can you remove Lady Alton's 20m run which is set in the future
