Where is everyone?

Sorted !   (and I've also sorted the fact the Daily Run Average was 2 days out  )

7.1 for me today whilst listening to Sirs Chris, Jason and Phil bringing home the goodies !!

Hi everyone,

Sorry for being a bit lax... it's been rather busy here. I need to update my runs but have had a slower week due to work etc.

Thanks for the update Bruce! How are you getting on, Jason?

03/08/2012 at 11:28

Bruce- well done on the update and the run

Emmy- Knew we could count on you!  All going ok here, thanks Actually, I'm really pleased with progress I seem to be making pace-wise/ weight-wise (they are clearly linked) so far this marathon campaign. 6.5ish this morning, MLR later

03/08/2012 at 11:33

@Jason - I may not be running as far as you; but i'll try I was going to ask - how did you ramp up the frequency to be able to run every day without burning out? Did you start out with smaller runs every day, building up slowly or doing the same mileage but just adding one day at a time?

Hi all. Having missed the end of the month I'm relieved to hear we triumphed. I've returned from a combination of injury and holiday sluggish and probably carrying a few extra pounds. 2.95 logged this morning, a slow start I know, but hopefully going big this month,

Thanks Bruce, thought maybe I'd been going mad last month trying to work these out! Cheers for the continued support.

Emmy- I'm fairly sure there's actually an army of Jason clones, otherwise I've never been able to work out how there's possibly enough hours in the day.

Quiet here...6.23 logged for second run of the day

03/08/2012 at 19:46

Emmy- I started with following the P&D 70-80m plan and then just switched to the 80+ 6 months later. I don't run this many miles all year though!

6.4m recovery run for me this morning and 14.01m this evening in 1.39.17 finished off with a 0.5m warm down for a total of 21.02

We're ahead at the mo

Oh, cutback week for me next week....

04/08/2012 at 00:08

I have been resting the legs this week. When I get that feeling I just go with it. Will be back next Monday.

6.05-parkrun pw plus wu&cd. 3rd run in 24 hours.

Off to do silly things involving alcohol with old friends in Cambridge now.

All my holiday runs logged and 2nd to the legendary Jason. Couple of rest days next week but a 50K on Sunday, although depressing seeing the run/walk Olympians go faster than I do.

It'll be cloudy he says, high chance of rain he says, Wrap up warm he says...... I've jus been out for a 15.5 mile run dressed like its autumn and about to rain when instead it was 25'c and bright sunshine! It'll be the last time I ask my husband the weather forecast!

Hi all

Hammy seems to be back to normal so managed a 6 miler yesterday evening. No running today but hope to get out for a longer run at some stage tomorrow.

In homage to our heroes in Team GB, I did this morning don my lovely Brooks Special Edition GB trainers and run a rather hot and humid 20.12 miles (got a few daft looks from the neighbours as I ran back and forth down the road at the end to make sure I got it spot on 2012).

04/08/2012 at 14:40

Hi all, back from a fat, very well fed, lazy holiday  First run for the month, a mere 5.6 this morning, including parkrun. Few more miles planned for tomorrow.

04/08/2012 at 21:59

It's Golden night for Team GB

Bruce- well done on the homage

Emmy- just got all the rain in the world here!! Just as I was about to step out of the door as it happens, so quite glad really to wait half an hour! 10.12m with 10x100mtr strides tonight

Cycled from London to Brighton Saturday morning/afternoon,

On a Brompton.

Took 6 hours

Drank Proscecco with my cycling partner and ate burger, chips and sprats.

I may be drunk?

How does one know?

05/08/2012 at 11:17

Stephen- Posting at 02.22 is a fairly good indicator

My weekly weigh in today and only 0.6lb weight loss this week- but I have been rather relaxed Still, in the right direction- and next week is back to the business of going sub 12(st). Just watching the start of the women's mara for inspiration before my 20
