13.38 logged this evening after work. No time for solid food before meeting friends in the pub. Spent the night sipping coke looking a "horrible shade of gray"

5 and a bit miles last night followed by 11 and a bit miles this morning.... i struggled in the middle of this mornings run but felt great at the end after a quick detour past a shop to get a sugary drink. Somehow last night I managed one of the fastest tempo runs i've ever done... and for the last mile i was carrying my dinner!

I agree with Tom - Jason - your recovery weeks are crazy!

How is everyone else doing?

10.02m for me this morning before breakfast- easy pace, but found it tough going today. Never mind, low glycogen=good fat burning session and resting up now for 24 hours. I love recovery weeks

I think we need to make sure that we're keeping the pressure on them. We dont want them to get ahead and have a huge lead

Well after yesterdays run, and being on my feet from 9 till 3 watching the triathlon I've got legs that are about flexible as granite. There was a loud moan of pain as I sat down to write this. So no run tonight, just foam roller, and hopefully up early tomorrow.

JD - Rain  whats that then? Not had much more than a shower here of late. 6m from me last night, a mere dribble of a few recovery miles tonight and 8-12 tomorrow, before an ultra at weekend No. 12 for the year (two up on last years total), for this and a few non-running reasons, life is good

A very nice 11.3 round Derwent reservior today. Going to Endinburgh in the morning for a 2 day liquid marathon . so will be a bit short on miles this week

I've always found it best to have some heavy "fluid intake practice sessions" as part of my training program .

6.23 done here, 4 pushing hard.

DE- Lucky you- flash floods here lately....

6.4m recovery for me tonight-so 11.44 for the day. Legs still regretting the decision to run 20m so fast last Sunday. Started to feel better towards the end though- wish tomorrow's 5k was a week later though

One downside to my weight loss- Had to dig my hand in my pocket today- no trousers or shorts that fit the new me in the house. Didn't go too mad though- in case I have to replace them again

I'm doing the GNR too.   Logged my run today and have found myself in 3rd place.

Jason d - I'm intrigued by your big mileage, which you seem to maintain throughout the year.  What are you training for at the moment or are you just ticking over?

Minni- Big is relative. Training for Chester marathon on Oct 3rd and Snowdon mara on Oct 27th at the moment- hence the higher mileage

Hiya everyone, a relaxed 5 miles from me. Was completely amazed by today's run.... And I've been immortalised in stone... Well concrete. It shall forever be known that Emmy-Bug ran through this area...and didn't notice that the concrete was still wet :/
