JD - Rain whats that then? Not had much more than a shower here of late. 6m from me last night, a mere dribble of a few recovery miles tonight and 8-12 tomorrow, before an ultra at weekend No. 12 for the year (two up on last years total), for this and a few non-running reasons, life is good

A very nice 11.3 round Derwent reservior today. Going to Endinburgh in the morning for a 2 day liquid marathon . so will be a bit short on miles this week
I've always found it best to have some heavy "fluid intake practice sessions" as part of my training program .

6.4m recovery for me tonight-so 11.44 for the day. Legs still regretting the decision to run 20m so fast last Sunday. Started to feel better towards the end though- wish tomorrow's 5k was a week later though
One downside to my weight loss- Had to dig my hand in my pocket today- no trousers or shorts that fit the new me in the house. Didn't go too mad though- in case I have to replace them again
I'm doing the GNR too. Logged my run today and have found myself in 3rd place.
Jason d - I'm intrigued by your big mileage, which you seem to maintain throughout the year. What are you training for at the moment or are you just ticking over?
Minni- Big is relative. Training for Chester marathon on Oct 3rd and Snowdon mara on Oct 27th at the moment- hence the higher mileage

Ran an undulating, but fast, 5k today. Boiling hot evening for running, but finished 4th and 2nd M40 in a new shiny (just) sub 18 PB of 17.55. Happy enough with that in the middle of 100m+ training and no speedwork yet

Super fast Jason, well done mate. Also did a fast 5k+ (3.2m) on undulating trails, tracks and roads during session and happy with pace considering I don't run fast much. 9.7 total. Day and a half rest now before the Long Tour of Bradwell.

Quiet on here- must all be out running
5m am and 13m done this afternoon and, boy, was it hot!!! 30c according to my car- but it only goes up to 30....Even worse- I left my drink behind!!! Managed to find a Lucozade Sport in the boot of the car- but was gone after 10m and I was glad to get back! Nice and sloooowwww 8.03av after yesterday- slow, but not too easy after yesterday's 5k....
Just decided this morning to take jd junior to Legoland in Windsor for a few days- leaving on 8 am train Monday and returning Wednesday afternoon. Off to plan running routes now...
Thames towpath= 180m long. Windsor great park= miles and miles of running

As for Windsor- looks great Plans while I'm there are: Monday pm 6m and Tuesday 10m, so i'm thinking Monday round Virginia water lake starting from the Savill Garden and Tuesday- 5m out and back either direction along the Thames Good luck with the 22. I run with an inov8 hydration waist pack on LRs which carries up to 2l. Alternatively, if trying to run faster, I hide dropbags along the way on rural runs
