Starting to pick up here- well done, guys- let's finish the job off

5.09m recovery this morning and 10.13m this afternoon- 4.xxm on the road finishing on the track for 5 x 0.5m off 90 sec recoveries, 2m warm down

Another 6.5 for me today, including 4 miles at what I hope to be my race pace next weekend.

Jason - in response to your question, I'm doing the Kent Coastal marathon on the 2nd September. This will be my first marathon, and I intentionally picked a very small key local event, as I didnt fancy a big city so will be interesting to see how it goes. However, I have really enjoyed training for it (I loosely followed the P&D 55mile a week schedule), and althought I've set a target, I'll be happy just to run it and finish...

These monthly challenges have been a massive help for me with the motivation, so couldn't have come at a better time for me

YP- all the best for the mara I prefer the smaller maras myself- although both have their charms. Sure you'll do well after your build up

Hmm. Haven't put any mileage in yet for this month.

Nothing yesterday. Was having a right rubbish day at work and walked to the track having checked the schedule to see if anyone had booked it. Turned up and there was about 60 school kids doing some sort of coaching session there. Grumbled my way back to the office. Hopefully out this evening, but good to see the gap opening back up.

@Fitrunningcat - have you not run? or just forgot to enter the mileage?

I did a nice little 5 miler this morning and it was lovely and fresh out there (for once!).

9 mile at Derwent tonight, don't think I have ever got so wet
22/08/2012 at 19:26

FRTC- As long as you remember to log it!

5.07m recovery run for me this morning. Quite glad that the plan was to run the afternoon's 15 nice and  slow cos my legs were still feeling yesterday's intervals (and Sunday's 24 still probably). So very easy on the CV system, not so easy on the legs. 15.14m= 20.21 for the day

7ish miles tonight, feeling okay and no niggles post NDW

11.27 tonight. Already past my months target and my previous best month. Fetch seem to be working hard too though.

Hi all,

Not receiving email alerts is really annoying me! I've updated my mileage. I managed my LSR this morning of 8 and a bit miles and did it in a new PB.

Tomorrow's a rest day before my marathon on saturday.

How is everyone else getting on?

23/08/2012 at 12:14

Good stuff Emmy, a good pace a few days before a marathon, you must be getting faster in leaps and bounds!

Tom - Also good stuff, beating target and last months mileage with over a week left to go.

Its really close, 0.06 of a mile, will have to attempt a bit extra tonight as won't be doing that much more running before next Thur

23/08/2012 at 12:41

Good luck for Saturday Emmy, have a good one  where are you running?

I am away next week and not sure i will be able to get many miles in, will have a go though

23/08/2012 at 13:21

Hi S3200H - I'm going to be running the Thames Meander in Kingston. Good luck with trying to fit in the miles next week!

Cheers Drunken.

8.13 recovery slog this morning. Hard work on the legs, and a tough one mentally.

Good luck on Saturday Emmy.

Fetch just ahead now. C'mon guys one last week!

Steady 6 mile tonight added. So close, but just in front.

I added my 6.15 mile tonight, it has added to the total but the run has gone from the calendar and is not listed on the leader board Can anybody check this?

9.95m last night, much of that downhill trail reps and recoveries. Quite a hard session a week out from TDS, but felt good and was flying so I went with it.

WE'RE BEHIND, GUYS and they've got some mara+ runs planned for the weekend I think ..... go, go , go, Team RW!!!!

Van de Rooster- If you're out there.... I know that you only started logging your runs a few days ago- indeed, joined RW itself only a few days ago, but you can log any runs you have for the entire month- not just the last few days

That will help....
