7.6 tonight, lovely warm night compared to "of late". Enjoyed a steady trot out of Hull and then back in along an old railway line (now) path as the sun set
Lots planned for weekend, fingers crossed!
Just filled in for the week. Not high mileage, but managed to get out a few times. including parkrun this a.m.
Waves to all
Good stuff Juggler.
JasonD, your taper miles are still impressive enough
Logged my last big miles for the month. Last ultra of the year and the knees need a break.
Just put another 8 on for Saturday, but am getting ready for Beachy on Saturday so will only get out once or twice this week. At least it meand I should be able to put 26.2 on at the weekend!
DE- Lots of rest days in there well done to you and enjoy the break- you've deserved it
CR- well done and good luck at Beachy
Hopefully, adding 26.2 as well this Saturday

Did actually run Monday to test knee out, felt better since then and will be out tonight, tomorrow and for a modest length weekend run.
Good luck Saturday JD, whats your mark to better at SNOD these days? 3hr?
Just another 5 for me this morning - last run before Beachy on Saturday.
Fetch seem to be just inching away from us again, are they playing with us do you think 10.6 last night and a few more this lunchtime to run in some new trail shoes. Then a few more tomorrow, my legs aren't the freshest right now and running time is precious/rare, but will do my best to get some good miles in the next 5 days and take the fight to them if others will join me in logging a bit extra.. see me grit my teeth
I know JD and CR has some big miles planned for the weekend, anybody else? After a 2nd month win the spoils have been one way traffic the last few months... the wrong way
I'm still taking part in the challenge, although at a much lower level than you mileage monsters! However, I'm really pleased that I have achieved my first ever 100 mile month. All being well I should be able to add another 15 before the end of the month. That's quite pleasing seeing as 18 months ago I couldn't even run for a bus!
Great stuff Gary, 100m month is a big target to hit and a great progression in 18mths. I'm sure when we started all of us took awhile to rack up 3 figure monthly mileage for the first time. And every extra mile you put in over the previous month is extra performance for the team in my book (and 100m is well up on the monthly averages of both teams) Keep going
That piqued my interest, just looked back and I broke my first 100m month back in Nov 2003 when I decided I'd try and take my running on a bit to do a marathon. Took me another 4.5 years to record a 200m month, still never got near 300!
Just about to head out for mine now, snow on the ground in the Wolds and sleet forecast so I've giving my new odlo baselayer a bit of a test today.
Gary, as has already been said, that's a great target to have hit. I see that you and me are quite close to each other in the rankings.
I got another 10 in today, taking me to 116, so hoping I'll get past my 120 target for the month.
Jason, well done on Snowdonia!
DE, I take it the knee is holding out ok.
Logged- we've got top 3 spots at the moment- but still behind....
13.42 miles done and dusted this morning bringing my total for the month to 114.17. It looks like I'll only get one more run in before the end of the month so will end around 117 or 118.
I'm absolutely loving my running at the moment, not sure if it's the new running shoes or the additional mileage but I set a second new PB for the half marathon distance this morning, I've managed to knock 9 minutes off of it in the last couple of weeks, I'm not quick by any stretch of the imagination and it's come down from 2.25 to 2.16. I'm faster at 52 than I was at 42!
I haven't really kept up with the thread but have been posting my miles. Was doing really well until I got injured, oh well. I have shaved 12 minutes off my 10K time lately so was really pleased. Why is that when things are just beginning to get better I go and get injured?
gary well done, just remember it isn't how quick you are relative to other people, it is keeping your own fitness and seeing your own prgress that is important
Logged my 26.2 from Beachy Head. Finished on 4:47. Really pleased and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought.
CR, good run! How was the ground? As we've had a bit of rain lately, wondered if it was muddy / general slide on the chalk, or not too bad underfoot
Gary, well done on bringing the HM time down
mathschick, if you're anything like me, it's because when things are going well, I often push on just a bit more than I should Hope things get sorted soon for you though.
