I ran Beachy in trail shoes but the ground was definitely firm enough to have done it comfortably in road shoes. I couple of the chalky areas were a bit slippery but not enough to cause any problems.
Hope to go out tomorrow for a short run to try and get my legs going again so should be posting a few more miles before the months up.

No running for me today because I am finding it hard enough to walk!!!
Well done all, whether marathons, halves or 10k's, some HUGGEEE PBs Wish I'd got out earlier and got more miles in Saturday now. I was concerned about the knee, especially as rain/sleet/snow had made trails v.muddy, but never got any worse and feels better today than has for two over weeks.

DE- piqued my interest too. I checked and I started running in Jan 09 and didn't get to a 3 figure month until Feb , 200 m wasn't until May, 300 m was Jan 2010, 400m Aug 2010 and 500m Jan 2012 ( only month of 500)
Get well soon Mathschick - I agree with juggler, I'm a fairly cautious trainer and figure I'm never as close to being injured as when I'm upping the miles and running at new limits. These days I try and keep my baseline fairly high (30's) and then I'm never upping miles to a massive extent week-on-week. It took awhile to get to that baseline, I've done gradually more each year, but if I work from that I seem to be reducing injury occurance or severity every year.
Speaking of progressing training, that made me have a look at my mileasge logs and I'm close to my biggest year yet.
2004 = 748, 976, 1118, 1411, 1369, 1792, 1863, 1975,....
2012 = 1943 and not out, I'm coming for you 2000
Well done JD on Snowdon marathon. I'm not sure why but my legs don't feel too bad - I have been having a good soak in a hot bath morning and evening and it seems to have stopped the stiffness developing to much (it was quite an effort geting up this moening and goin down the stairs before having the bath though).
I'm glad I to say I had two PB's on Saturday, one for Beachy Head and one for marathons (It does help that it was my first for each!!!)
Didn't get out this morning - will be going for 4-5 miles tomorrow am hopefully. Legs feeling a lot beter today, just rght ankle hurting a bit where I think I must have had the laces done up a little too tight.
Already looking at what race I can do next year - possible Eton Dorney HM February, Sussex Coast M March, Trail Wales M June And of course Beachy in October again.
Short of time yestrday so only 4.15 grabbed in lunchhour before lunch. Hope for sopme more tonight. Don't suppose anybody has about 150m to log do they? Would about level it out going into last day..... I fear the fetchies are too good again
Ah well, it helps to keep getting me out of the door. Just 6.77 miles for me today, tho with my cold, that was enough. Funny thing was, I felt better running than I have all day stuck inside
So target achieved for this month , even if the Fetchies look like winning again ...
D'oh. Ran 6.1m last night, but didn't log it and now I can't. Oh well, wouldn't have made much difference!
So my 3 miles yesterday won't have counted either. It was nice tho' a 3 mile jog with my daughter in Richmond Park. I've never been there before, but since she moved up that way, she's been keen for me to go for a run with her there. Saw plenty of deer, including some stags with very large antlers! -we crossed the road at that point
Need a rest, can I sub somebody else in?

Hi all, will add my miles this month. Missed the last couple of months as not been running regularly but back in the swing again now. Nice easy 5.2 run back from football training (the kids, not me) Come on RW!
