Funny thing running. Ran 15 miles last night at just over  8 m/m, not hard but not easy either, went out for a little jog this morning on what should have been tired legs and ended up doing 14 miles at 7:43 m/m and it felt easy.

Go figure, eh?

Great weeks running Jason!!

Only 15 for me today, made up of 2.5m w/u, 10mile race, 2.5m c/d.

The race is quite a hilly 2lap affair, which I didn't really want to run at full effort. Ended up as 1:16:17 according to my Garmin, with average pace of 07:33/mile, and an average HR of 165 (87%max)...

Gaz- indeed
YP- nice running!
I see that both teams have 20 runners now The only difference at the moment is the 74m lead we have Early days though......

Couple of the Fetchies did double marathons at the weekend. Just 5m in it now, so lets keep it going

Gaz- Although i always feel worse in the morning my pace is definitely better. I put it down to a good nights sleep as opposed to being on my feet all day at work.

Nice easy 3 miles at 5am...

JR- opposite here, mate. Takes me a while to loosen up!
Couple of recovery runs today for just over 13m

Ah! The new world of "doubles"

Actually, not sure if what I did really counts, but a 3 miler this morning to loosen up and then a 7 miler this evening. This is only about the third time I've run twice in day in the last few years and the first time I've actually planned to do it(!), but I'm beginning to debate including it more regularly into my routine.

Happy runnings everyone

Sounds like a double to me

Sort of a double for me, ran to work last night for night shift, 4 miles easy, then ran home this morning, just over 9 miles 1.5 WU 3 x 2 miles with 3 min recovery then 1 mile WD, thought they were going to be a struggle but found them OK.

Juggler/ Barry, those are the sort of "doubles" I do. 2-4 slow miles to or from work and then a longer run 8-10 hours later.

Ahhhhh here you all are!

I had been looking for the January mileage challenge Vrs Rest of the world and was rather disappointed it wasn't happening. However, it turns out that your all in here taking on the Fetchie's every month. I recognise some of the names from last years challenge.

Well I've now jumped in and registered but foolishly come up with a different user name (palmerd1889) Is there anyone at RW Vrs Fetch HQ that could ammend my username to MC Dave? I know it's a bit of a faff but it's really messing with my OCD having 2 different users.

Looking forward to getting involved in this

Welcome back Dave, nice mileage.

How typical! no sooner do I sign up then I come down with the dreaded lurgy that everyone has been sharing around. Very achy and struggling to breathe

To make it worse I was in the middle of a 50 consecutive day training streak and currently on day 29. Would be surprised if I get out today but may just have to drag 5 miles out of the old body

09/01/2013 at 19:43
MC- hope you shake it off soon
15m MLR for me today, followed by just over a mile warm down
09/01/2013 at 23:55

Just an 11m MLR for me. Actually, it was all I had time for, but probably just as well. Just crept back into the top 10, but I think all the spiring marathon runners are going to get ahead soon ...

Still, I'm ahead of average at the moment and have made a good start for the year, so I'm happy

p.s. MC hope you make a swift recovery
