I've put a few runs up. Had to use the tradmill on Monday/ Tuesday but things seem better the last couple of nights. Hopefully a thaw at the weekend I can stop having to run on the road headlong into oncoming traffic because the pavements are icey.

What usually happens in this monthly challenge with the fetchies? Do we normally smash them or are we the underdog? Is there a tally of months lost/won and where are we currently?

Not that I'm competitive, no, not in the least bit. I couldn't care less.

Glad to see you got the green light YoungPup.

Northern XC tomorrow at Knowsley - should be fun in the snow!

This month looks like being pretty close! Last week was very poor for me (sorry guys, pressure of work and ice on the roads). got my weekend long run in this afternooon as I am out for family event all day tomorrow. So next run is likely to be Monday. Need to be a bit careful tho, calf was very tight on the run in. Hopefully just a little niggle and nothing more. Beautiful running weather tho

MCDave, can't remember the exact scores on the doors, but we were pitching for a December winner takes all for 2012, which I'm sure wouldn't be anything to do with not doing quite so well in the previous months.

Good running folks!

MC Dave- we got stuffed last year tbh! Hoping for better this year

I missed yesterday's run due to family stuff and work. First zero day for the month- first day under 13m in fact Got back on track today though- polished off yesterday's 12m this morning and 2 x6.5m recovery runs for today sees me back on schedule

Just put my 25.22 in and we moved into the lead again

26/01/2013 at 20:13

I got us in position with my 20.5

Gaz top man!
26/01/2013 at 21:44

And you Jason, 3 runs a day? Thats positively Kenyan!

26/01/2013 at 21:50
But none yesterday- and today's were slow
26/01/2013 at 22:07

Its raining here now and the snow is shifting fast. Its been hard work to get the miles in the last week or so. I thought I was going to get trench foot at one point.

26/01/2013 at 22:15

Gaz/Jason -  Well done to both of you, we would be a long way behind without you two.

26/01/2013 at 23:25
Ummm, thanks Barry, but you are sixth on the leaderboard at the moment, so hardly slacking yourself!!! It is a team effort
So log some. runs, Bruce and ...
Just Run, umm, just run???

Northern Cross Country championship yesterday and it was like the Somme! Can I add in the mileage from this race as I'm not sure it qualifies as running. More like slip sliding with grace.

Hoping for 14 miles today to take me to 80 this week.

Lol Dave- get those muddy miles logged
I've got an enforced club race today- team pursuit. Could do without it, but got to do my bit. Should total 16 today to end my recovery week. Back to 3 figure weeks and building next week! VLM is 11 weeks today :-0
27/01/2013 at 08:33

Jason - I make it 12 weeks to VLM, so either you've got an extra weeks training or I'm a week short.

27/01/2013 at 13:56

Cheers Barry. Def. a team effort though, if it was left to me and Jason we'd be over 2000 miles behind Fetch!

27/01/2013 at 15:09
My mistake! 12 weeks to VLM- confused cos starting Pand D week 11 tomorrow
27/01/2013 at 16:32
God that was hard going. 18 mile but 9 mile all up hill and into a constant 20-25 mph wind. Had to dig very deep to complete the run
27/01/2013 at 16:45
Forgot to add first ever 50 mile week well happy.
