Gaz/Jason - Well done to both of you, we would be a long way behind without you two.
Jason - I make it 12 weeks to VLM, so either you've got an extra weeks training or I'm a week short.
Cheers Barry. Def. a team effort though, if it was left to me and Jason we'd be over 2000 miles behind Fetch!
Well done S32. I was out today for a recovery run and the wind was a real killer, I wouldn't have fancied 18 miles in it!
Thanks Jason, Gaz. I am doing Blackpool mara in April, and i am told it will be windy so may have been worth it, not that my legs would agree this morning.
what do you think, must have been the same as running at least 22 miles in normal conditions Just trying to jusify how bad my legs feel
Not a chance I was venturing out yesterday. My hamstrings were tighter than a............................. never mind.
Gym this morning for an hour and 8 mile recovery this afternoon I think. 13 tomorrow on my visit to London and then back to Sheffield for intervals at the track.
Are you running London jason d? What you aiming for?
Chapeltown to be exact S3200H - you?
MC Dave- a gentle jog before stretching is the best cure for tight hammys Yeah, i'm running London- too early to call for a time though, but am hoping to get a PB (2.49 last October with a couple of hills and tight hamstrings from 12m....) and sub 2.45
What a day! This morning I managed 0.1m before realising that the roads and pavement were lethally slippery- and no sign of grit Plan B came into operation- a mind-numbing 6.5ishm of laps of a very muddy football pitch in the dark. This evening I did a tad over 7m recovery again, this time in a RIDICULOUS wind.
Still - on a positive, 13.46m for the cause today and sees me pass the 400m for the month point
Jason - Had the same issue this morning, ran in to work last night and 8 miles home this morning which were meant to include 5 fartlek but was hard work with icy pavements.
