Scientists have shown that running actually causes irreversible brain damage in susceptible individuals, acording to latest reports. Runners at risk are those having the so-called "frail loop", an area near the hypothalamus, said Prof Alf Lio of the Institute of Seasonal Studies.  Initial findings suggest that damage could be prevented by wearing headgear made of polar foil.

SOG - where could I get some of that foil? Tesco don't have it. I don't want to take any unnecessary risks. Thanks.

Portugal, apparently. Try Lilpo, Faro.

Apparently wearing a hat made of freshly grown spaghetti helps too!

It was on telly, so it must be true!

Nah, x post. I agree that anything seen on TV must be true. I was casting nasturtiums on your sanity though!

Dog - more x posts. that comment was, of course, aimed at Hippo. Although, if the (foil lined) cap fits......

We could eat the nasturtiums with the spaghetti using a foil dish.
Then all would be well and we'd all be world class affleets.

Great idea, Limper. Praps we could get Delia onto it?
01/04/2008 at 08:51
Would tin foil do instead? It's probably cheaper and easier to get.

I've got some of that foil backed stuff you wrap around water pipes in the loft. I shall now be taking orders for hats knitted from it
