funny?? ever done an Ironman?? probably no

both I and DtS have - what they are going through is what many others have been through in an IM. it ain't funny at all when the body starts shutting down on you but the mind is still competing

have some respect for 2 athletes competing at the limits of their physical abilities and not wanting to give way to their competition.

Come on, something can be impressive and funny at the same time. If you were watching it live then laughing might be inappropriate but after the event I bet the two athletes look back at that footage themselves and laugh.

What is funny is of course subjective.

Respect them as athletes but do find the clip funny

What is funnier is seeing a few IM upset at such an innocent comment - twunts

admittedly it doesn't look elegant, but to see the effort they are putting in after the distance that they have covered in a battle for 4th ! place is bloody impressive. First time i have seen that clip

shows what happens if you don't get the nutrition right.......no-one should get into that state in a race....

i believe that this clip is what got ironman on the world stage and made it the massive thing it is worldwide today......

You beat me to it, Dave, I was about to say they were only copying Julie Moss's epic finish. Far from inspiring me at the time I first saw it, it made me think there's no way I could do that. I was wrong.
