I know increasing mileage will help me become faster if I construct quality sessions around the miles
As it happens I have only been running since April this year starting on 15-20 miles a week and gradually increasing up to 40ish
I am still building fitness and most running I am doing at the moment is going to improve me anyway.. Running 16:16 of my mileage I think is ok
I keep track of all my training and running and just checked and I have averaged only 26mpw for this year
The last 11 weeks is 40.43 and anything over 12 weeks the average goes down.
Once I have seen Xmas through and raced my 10KM and had a week training in Eastbourne .. I am re evaluating and increasing my mileage and progressing my training...
I will not be running anything longer than 10KM (Unless some XC are longer) but HM at the moment are out of the question.
As for Samir.. You have been running for over 18 months now + football training + decent core work from boxing and are not producing outstanding times for 1) what you ran your mouth on 2) realistically where you could be 3) realistically where you should be
