triathlon report in short, dns! Ankle was still too sore sunday so I had to put on my sensible head and just not try. Pretty fed up but had to look at the bigger picture.
Waiting for gn reports to come in...
Sorry to hear about your Tri DNS - hope the ankle is better soon. Sounds like you did the sensible thing there.
Come on GNRers - I need reports too.
Wabo - what a shame you missed your tri - but very sensible decision.
GNR was great Met with Vixx and some other RW forumites on the Saturday afternoon . Met a bunch just before we got got into our pens on Sunday. Took for ever to cross the start line. Must be one of the slowest ever. Red Arrows had been over twice before we started. Great running weather - cool and drizzly. It stayed that way almost to the finish. Felt pretty strong for first 3 miles then had a little walk which actually made it harder to get back into it again. Took a quick loo visit and came back refreshed. After that the miles flashed by. I couldn't believe how quickly the markers were appearing. Short sharp down hill then last mile along the sea-front. Frustrated by slower runners but finally crossed the line in 2:21:38 - course PB by 5:30 mins and a half PB by 2:20 mins
RLTW: Well Done on your GNR
Off to Stornoway early Friday to Monday to visit Sis in laws. My first visit up there.
