A weight-loss sub-thread of The Long Green Ribbon Thread.
Nice to see you again RLTW - am glad you had a good race
birkmyre - Stornoway has always sounded nice - take some pics! Hope that the weather is kind to you.
Sorry you missed your tri wabo, but best to be sensible I think.
How is everyone today?
Enjoy Stornaway Birkmyre.
My knee is playing up after hockey at the weekend, trying to get a physio appointment. i need to accept that I am not as young as I used to be and cannot run, spin and play two games of hockey over 4 days.
Hope you get an appointment today DD!
DD you sound just like me! I just think I can do anything! But I know I can't...
Going to bike home soon, so looking forward to it and then a sports massage later
DD: Cheers we've got a 5am star,t to catch 10:15 ferry up at Ullapool on Friday !
1lb off! Woo hoo, 10st 13, this is it guys, really it is...
bike and massage last night, amazing.
Well Done Wabo!
DD - did you get physio?
birkmyre - don't envy the start time!
thanks vixx. Signed up for ww online, just needed some plan.
Cool - I do too now because I rang the Doc's this morning to see if anything had been done about getting my surgery sorted and apparently a letter has gone to the surgeon saying that funding has been approved. Yay! (Took long enough).
So I need to make sure I shift a few pounds or she'll say I can't have the surgery!
Vixx:Iits okay I'm up at that time anyway running Mon-Frids anyway !
That's OK then birkmyre
Morning all, my computer was playing up yesterday so could'nt post.
Vixx - great news about your surgery.
Well done on the weightloss Wabo.
Have a physio appointment today - knee still a bit stiff but miles better than it was.
Hope it goes well DD
My enthusiasm has been tempered somewhat by remembering that the letter that the surgeon sent was asking if funding was available, and that the PCT wanted to know how much it cost before agreeing that she would be able to do it. The receptionist told me that the letter said funding was available, but nothing more, so am rescinding my excitement until I know more, because if the surgeon costs too much then I can't have it with her and we all have to start again!
oh b*gger vixx I was all set to say woo hoo etc , so now I say fingers crossed and hope all goes well!
Biked 11 miles this morning, I am going to try and run later at the club, fingers crossed for that too
Another 1lb gone! Yay!
YAY vixx, go on!
I have a very strange pain, bruised and sore, sort of in the sternum. middle of chest close to right boob, high up. I haven't done any weights sit ups, anything! I noticed it weds night, anyone have any clues what could cause this? Will definitely be off to doc monday if it doesn't just go. It really feels sore.
Has someone bumped you? Have you perhaps jolted your arm?
Does it hurt if you move in certain ways?
Can you take a full breath OK?
sorry for late reply vixx not been bumped. the only thing was I had a sports massage and she worked on my right shoulder and neck. it doesnt hurt moving but if i touch it it is so painful. can take full breath no prob.
Interesting. Did the discomfort/pain start after the massage?
Morning you lot - have a good weekend.
No weight bearing exercise for me at the moment - might try a bit of cycling and cross training at the gym tomorrow.
